Marc, that's what the general section is all about. Technical is for technical stuff. I think that strictly using the Ferrari model with a section form each model will lead to quite a bit of fractionalization. There just aren't as many people with Maserati's.

Should we then add a section on washing Maserati's? ;>))

When people want a technical question answered it's frequently urgent and they're focused. I generally like to see everything and then ignore what isn't of interest but when you really need to find something you want the relevant resources well organized.

Bob: I was speaking in jest as they say in British: half joking. I did not actually mean for a driving section to be started and yes of course that is part of the general forum.

Well I certainly hope we never have a wax and polish section: those people I can't even begin to have a conversation with.

Let's see how the poll Rob Lay has started ends up: again I think we need perhaps a subforum or two but not a dozen that's for sure.

Off to see a Khamsin amd the Gstaad auction in Switzerland, have a good weekend,

    Marc

One thing we are lacking is a good central location where technical questions can be researched, technical articles archived and retrived, manuals downloaded, etc. There have been several attemps, Maserati Resource Center comes to mind, but none have been succesful.

Many of you know that on my website is a page where you can download many of the GT cars user manuals, sales brochures, parts manuals, decals, and just about anything I can lay my hands on that is in electronic format.

If you are not familiar with this page, take a look at:

    http://thecarnut.com/maseratimanuals.html

If someone was to create a central Maserati database, I would be glad to donate all the information I've accumulated.

I will take this opportunity to ask for donations ... not in the monetary form but in contents. If you have a GT car manual or other information of interest to the Maserati community; please scan it and e-mail to [email protected]. I will post it and make it available for others to use. Please make sure you do not infringe in other people's copyright.

Perfect. I wasn't familiar with your web page and your reference section is just what I was hoping to find.

PS. Jags & Maserati's. I like your style!

This is great Ivan. Have you noticed the changes underway on the official Maserati website? I don't see any of those pdfs of manuals/brochures available for downloading anymore. Hopefully it will get back in there when they're done.

    Hi Frank,

Questions come up as I work my way through the car. You know it's a learning process of course. I'll post my question in the suspension thread. If you can help me out, that would be much appreciated.

    Ciao,
    George

Maybe it is me but I have problems finding stuff at the official Maserati website. It is also unfortunate that some of the information on the GT cars is inaccurate. For example the website states that on the Vignale spyders the doors were alloy (other than the prototypes, most were steel) and that the hardtops were alloy (again wrong ... all I have seen have been steel). The Mistral spyder hardtop is described as being made of "light alloy" .... they should try to lift my top ... it is definetely steel!

    Ivan,
Just a thought, but have you tried contacting them and offering a correction?
It would be interesting to see if you received an answer. My guess would be ________.
