eric i have a old vhs tape somewhere of the lamborghini 25th anniversary event that jim kaminski took back in the late 80's. a portion of it included a casual tour of the factory "junk yard". i do recall him commenting on the "urraco bob rallye" car and open to door to take shots of the interior. oldly enough, i dont recall seeing the yellow P118 test mule. the video resolution was grainy and movement of the hand held camera gave motion sickness but never the less is was great to the car. I recalled inquiring about the car through him to see if it was for sale or not. for what ever reason he wasn't able to get a straight answer from them at the time. one day if i find the tape i may get it transferred on disc... i wouldnt hold my breath though. hf
Raymond> You're right, it's the first Jalpa spyder on chassis 12001...I'll be happy if we can find the second one, at that time I don't know if this second body is with Tonino... Hyenahf> It will be nice if you can make a copy of that vidéo, I have magazine with photo of the scrapyard but very bad quality, we can see the two Urraco prototypes, the Espada one, a Jalpa body, an Urraco body, the Urraco Bob, The yellow P300, a miura, a countach and a brown urraco with front damage (this car was before inside the factory and seems to have a french registration...) Having initiated this post, I'm afraid that I have been negligent in is upkeep and have contributed nothing for months. Thanks to those who have maintained the thread in my absence. I wondered whether anyone here might know anything about a previous Urraco of mine, a car that I haven't seen for 15 years. I'd love to know whether it still exists? The car is/was a P250S, a 1973 if memory serves me correctly. I have no record of the chassis number. It was originally a red car with a tan interior in RHD - when I bought it from Heathmans in Beaconsfield in about 1985 the exterior had been repainted in two-tone silver and blue. In the mid-late 80's I started a restoration that ultimately turned into a disaster. The engine was blueprinted by Colin Clarke and I had a new exhaust build by 'Mike the Pipe'. The body restoration however was done by a local firm of cowboys who xxxxed it up completely. It was stripped and repainted in Mercedes white (I know - what was I thinking of????????????????). The car was never finished. I took it to a pal of mine named Jean-Claude who was an ex-Matra and Lotus racing mechanic from France, but he couldn't complete it - there were too many parts missing. In about 1992/3 it was eventually sold in pieces to somebody in the UK. It still bore at that time the registration number that the car wore when I bought it, namely 4747FG. DVLA records show the number to still be in issue, but there is no public reference to the make of car that it is attached to. The car may have been scrapped or broken for spares long ago, may still be lying in somebody's garage awaiting resto, or may have been completed and now is alive and well somewhere Anybody happen to know anything??? best wishes David S
David> I'm happy to found this thread, thanks to have initiated it. I expect we will find news from your ex-Urraco. I think that a lot of car was destroy, it's not easy to find now the story of car that have more than 30 years. Eric
Anyone know the history or have they ever run across my Urraco 73 P250 VIN# 15176. What I know is that the car was in orlando years ago and was sold to a guy in Boston. The car also seem to have been yellow from the factory. I also googled the VIN number years ago and up came and old auction listing out west. The car is very early has no ac and seems to be Italian spec. Any info or history would be nice to know.
Hi Joe, Expect we will have news from your car, it seems that it's a P250 before the S version originaly yellow and now red, it will be nice if you can post photo, can you give the body number that is stamped near the rear engine bonnet support and beggining by 1060. Eric

Neede some help from the Urraco experts. Is there a way to identify a Urraco's VIN number other than the ID plate? Are any parts stamped, if so which ones should I look for. Did Lamborghini grease pen the back sides of the upholstry? Any help appreciated
most parts are interchangable with Fiat Alfa etc, the VIN numbers from my best knowledge are not on the body, well mine didnt have any of any real consequence that stood out, i did a full body off so to speak resto took about a year, the costs were not too bad.
