    Great post!

IMHO most of the fun is in 1st through 3rd! Can prob sell off 50% of the car and keep 90% of the fun (and all of the street legal fun!!!)

Do not sell sixth gear. It will earn its way in fuel savings. I use 6th as a mode of transportation between winding roads.

I have daily driven my 575 for the last 18 months. I can count on my hand the times I've hit 6th. Usually, I can't even get in 5th. I love it!

Sounds like you are having a blast!

Yep. 4th is enough for the freeway! 5th means jail time! :):)

If you have second thoughts about selling a part of the family might I suggest you send 6th to Europe. DHL charges will be plummeting due to the credit crunch and it will find a good home, some unrestricted roads to play on ..... If you are a law abiding citizen, and who isn't in the Land of the Free, then you might usefully send 5th to keep it company!

I have a 3 Pedal 575. However, My Maserati was a Cambiocorsa (f1 equivalent). I would just keep it in 1st gear and let the system handle it (manually flipping to 2nd as needed). That is what seems to have worked best. The systems should be similar and the Ferrari is probably more robust. I wouldn't worry too much on clutch wear in normal mode.
