Looks like it's due, maybe overdue, for major service though.

Based on Ferrari's 3yr/30,000 mile service requirements, yes, it's overdue for an engine out service.

The ad impresses me as one that's targeting the uninformed (nothing new there) since it's description is of the Mondial t as opposed to this t. Plus they aren't using supersize photos and there are no photos at all on their website. http://www.autoshopper.com/used-cars/1989_Ferrari_Mondial_T_Egg_Harbor_NJ-2691853.htm

This one will definitely need some eyeballing before the buy.

Holy Smokes man! We were just talking about this type of example for you. Red, local, priced well. Seems to be accurately represented. Go-go-go and jump on this and be happy ever after.

If it were a needs nothing car and you wanted/needed to sell then it's a great price for a Mondial lover, otherwise maybe it's a bit high. But, if you're selling a dream, sight unseen, then it's probably a bargan to that one in a million buyer.

Even though a maor is due, that is an extremely rare and a hell of a nice driving car. I'd love that car.

Sounds reasonable to me. You can drive another two years on that major, if it was done properly.

We're not talking about "common" cars, like 3X8's! :D

If I didn't have Rachel, I'd be all over that coupe. If that car is properly represented, it's a great price - and then, the new owner can get the major done RIGHT !

    Cheers, Hank

I still think that low mile, maintained examples run at or near $40K. "Show"cars heading toward upper $40's. The last really nice, low miles t cab which I was aware of sold in the well-upper 40's, and the new owner knowingly had to do a major and some known repairs. He will be in the mid-upper $50's for a very low mile, pristine example.
As a more personal example, I have "softly listed" my 89 Mondial t cab, 19K miles for $47K. Not really publicized, but up until a few months ago would have been looking in that range. These days, I would sadly acknowledge that it would probably only bring low $40ish. Despite the rarity of the coupes in the US, I believe that cabriolets have a bit of a premium due to the convertible option. At least that is what Forza and FML have shown in their assessments.

    F-Ads has cabs listed at $35K, $49K to $57K.

So, back to this t coupe.... looks like a nice driver car, reasonable miles (not low, not high), mid-schedule on maintenance, and IMO pretty well priced overall. I continue to think that a lower mile example might command up toward the $40 range. There is another t coupe on F-Ads for a similar 35K. Not sure of the up close condition of either....but clearly in the range of reason.

I bought cars from Franck Freon before and trust he is properly representing the car. He's a retired race car driver with alot of experience with Ferrari's. This Mondial looks like it has promise. Think they have a new website www.pumpkincars.com there are some pictures of the coupe on there.

In fact it is my car. Sweet Red/Tan "T" coupe with the 3.4 liter engine. I had it on Ebay for promotion. I don't mind looking at it (it is in front of me in the showroom) for now and take it for a spin when it's dry and sunny. Merry Christmas to all members ! Franck Freon
