Looks like you already have it advertised for sale at your Blackhorse Motorsports:

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ctd/968402270.html

This is an enthusiasts' website. If your intentions are genuine, why don't you let folks know more about the car's condition, history and your price? Just a suggestion, but in my view it would be more straightforward and productive.

Definitely dump it on some unsuspecting customer who doesn't understand how much these cars cost to restore. Just based on the few pictures you've shown, this is just a well-used example.

i posted the car there a day or so AFTER i spoke of it here..didnt even post a price there!!the reason it was posted here more to share the excitement on the car than anything else there were no "intentions".and i assure you after 30 years of car collecting not to mention a few years more as a f-chat member and a few hundred more posts than yourself im quite genuine.perhaps the fact its the first Ghibli ive acquired and driven in over 2o years and i was sharing the expereince didnt register!i forget that only do the many friends i have here on F-Chat read these but also others with no clue about my intentions!!i wouldnt list the car here for sale anyway as its FERRARI CHAT!!not to mention only sponsors can post what they are selling here..there was nothing implied about actually selling the car at that point other than in the post tag so perhaps your views a bit misguided and distorted.however i thank you for your opinion and comment

Your post on F-Chat is dated Oct. 23 at 6:08 p.m. The Craigslist post is (was, actually, it's now removed) dated Dec. 23 earlier in the day. Not sure how your calendar works but the timing speaks for itself.

As for the "volume" of postings, I'm a great believer in quality over quantity. Not sure what you were getting at, but my point was very simple. As an enthusiast, I am interested in hearing more about your Ghibli to share in your excitement. Please provide more details about the car - what makes it special and interesting? Is it an early car with features not found on later cars? Is it an original one-owner California car with no rust, all the service records, from the collection of a devoted enthusiast?

If you were truly taking a poll about whether to "flip or keep," the results are pretty predictable and tedious. Some percentage will tell you to keep it and enjoy and the rest will tell you to sell it ... to them.

If you are trying to sell the car, let's hear more details. I am also a great believer in transparency. Your post could have used some. For example, you could have disclosed that you have a business buying and selling cars. Your friends may know this, but others may not. It's not apparent from your profile. You also could have disclosed that the Ghibli was advertised for sale on Craigslist at the same time you were posting about it at F-Chat. Or you could pony up the $15 for a subscription to the very F-Chat upon which you are so prolific and just advertise your car here.

My views are neither "misguided" or "distorted." I made some observations of fact and asked for some additional information about the car that was the subject of your post. Let's hear more about the car.

Lastly, your ad-hominen attack was both surprising and unwarranted. It's an unusual approach for someone in the sales business, especially in this economy and in response to a local SoCal collector/potential customer.

Let's hope 2009 is more prosperous and successful for us all.

    Richard -

Nice to see another imbd member posting here. I'm well represented on the site, as is Annunaki.

Yes, subscribing is indeed a good idea. I heartily endorse that suggestion. As little as fifteen bucks increases your credibility to an immeasurable degree.

    Welcome!
