Given that this thing is at a dealer, and is represented as a Ferrari (and even titled!) I suspect that the legal department of the factory will do something about it?

19th August, 1989 to be precise, Marcel.

It's the same car as in the colour photograph which you posted here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135705436&postcount=99

Noble P4 chassis #007, then powered by a Buick V-8, owned by US Noble importer Richard Brengman (S.I.A.C.) of Garderville, NV.

Car is now in the DFW, TX area, and fitted with a Norwood Performance injected Ferrari 308-based motor by its current owner.

    Thanks for sharing Marcel. :)

You want a good laugh, Marcel ?

Check out this photo of the license plate on my car: http://www.flickr.com/photos/trackside_images/2784733445/

Now that is designed to confuse !! LOL !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too, Marcel.

PS - Any chance of you and Kare making a New Year's resolution - to stop using the 'F***' word - and start calling them 'Replicas' ?

    You wrote:
A register catering for 'Ferrari' P4 replicas / reproductions has existed for 8 years. I have details of 140 cars in my records, worldwide.

I disagree. Why trouble them, unneccesarily ? After all, they are there to make money for S.p.A. - not to waste valuable company resources documenting 'kit cars'. Having said that, I did have cause to contact the UK Classiche department, earlier this year, to ask their involvement with a Dino V6-engined Noble P4 replica, which was being fraudulently advertised as 'based on the chassis of a 330GTS' (which it patently wasn't). They proved most helpful in this instance - and the car was subsequently withdrawn from sale. (There is a vague reference to this in my post #3 of the original thread - now post #65 of the merged thread ).

    Just my opinion, George. ;)

    Fakes don't deserve registers.

    Just my opinion, Julio.

How about the Fake Ferrari Enzo made using a Miller Chassis
which he put a Ferrari badge on and raced as a factory entry
    At Monza?

    ;)

james..i'm sure it was a rear drive miller....a front wheel drive chassis would appear too modern.

Enzo didn't make it. He dropped a Ferrari engine into a Miller
pried off the Miller badge and slapped on a Ferrari badge.

Think the Pebble Guys would let it on the Lawn?

    I was just quoting you...

Look, I personally see little in common between the Miller "Special", "made" by Enzo himself, and the fakes posted above. The analogy doesn't work for me, and Pebble Beach has little to do with it; history is the determining factor.

    Cheers!

All I'm saying is that this is a slippery slope. Take The Breadvan.
Should that be seized and crushed?

    Cheers To You!

I agree with you. Pebble is irrelevant in this discussion.
