    While we were busy getting ready for Christmas today my wife found our 8 year old son had written a note to Santa. It reads "Dear Santa, are you real? Please check the yes or no box. Please reply". Really melted my heart because our youngest is getting older. When people say enjoy your kids, they don't stay young forever, believe it. It really hit home with the note.

    Its really all about giving to others which can result in magic

    My 6 yr. old daughter is questioning it already. By next year. I think she'll know. School (classmates with older siblings) is where they learn the "truth."

    I said it in good humor, it won't be long 'till you have to break it to him or he finds out. I don't remember when it happened to me but I'll assume some kids take it poorly.

    P.S. The local 7-11's here don't have internet, that's why I submitted my resume to the Kwiki-Mart!

    My post was simply to remind those parents with little ones to take the time to really appreciate the little things about the season. It's easy to get caught up in things and forget that you only get 4 or 5 Christmas times when they believe in Santa. It goes quick! Sorry about the comment, I took it as a slam on an 8 year old.

    why cant santa be real... people aimlessly believe in god... (not trying to start a debate)

    i think coca cola actually started the whole image of the santa we see today. red/white. apparently they used it as an add campaign many years ago and it stuck.

    Thats actually my justification for UFO's and Aliens. If God exists, that means everything under it that might not seem plausible (UFO's, Nessie, Aliens, etc) should exist

    That is kind of sad. My son is 2 1/2 and this is the first year he understands Santa--it's a lot of fun. Talking to one of my employees today, she mentioned her youngest daughter had figured out the truth this year. She's also 8. But save that note.
