question: i have recently purchased a 1995 black 355 and want to change the front orange turn signals to clear/white - i think it will dramatically update the look of the car. anyone know where i can buy these?

Absolutely! Now here's the question - does anyone have a source for a clear lens for the side marker lights and/or a new side marker light unit with a clear lens. It would really complete the look.

I am thinking when I pull the bumper to take in for a respray, have the shop fill the turn signals in and paint over.
    Has anybody done this? Pictures?

Wouldn't that be illegal ? How would on-coming traffic know if your blinker was on?

I was just referring to the side orange running light lenses, not the blinkers themselves. Sorry for the confusion!
But, in fact, you could be ticketed for changing any orange to clear in the U.S.A....couldn't you?
I do need to pick up the clear blinker. Too bad you just can't buy the lense itself instead of the whole cluster.

My Euro 355GTS has clear lenses with orange bulbs. These bulbs apparently are not easy to find stateside. I don't know how legal it is, but you can paint the clear bulbs (my mechanic did) maintaining the DOT mandated orange signal illumination.

Off the shelf 1157A (for amber) just like your American car. paint the tip of the bulb silver for a stealth look, it will still flash orange. Total cost about $4.
