    Obviously the confusion initially arose from your own publication in 'Ferrarissima 20' in which you erroneously assigned JVN to 53717.

    Given the similarity of the chassis numbers its easy to see how you made that mistake.

    Clarification... that is the purpose of this thread.

    Disagree. 56343 was sold new in March 1985 and registered in Udine, Italy. Only 7 months later sold to USA as a "new" car.

    I am told this car is 56195, the car owned by Ferrari Formula One racing driver Michele Alboreto.

    Even if it is not, I still have the same simple question:

    Why is the gearbox painted/coated gold??

    A special unit filled with drop gears for the F1 pilot?

    Or just cosmetic?
