    Does anybody have idea (not exact figure needed, just an idea) how much 348 engine weights with all ancillaries (inc headers, throttle bodies etc)? I might have to ship spare engine for me so thats why asking... ;)

    Werner Schruf's book on the 348 (in German), has a table of engine figures, which says:

    "Gewicht de Antriebseinheit, mit Kraftubertragung, 300 kg"

    I'm guessing that this means the engine weighs approximately 660 pounds.

    Actually looking this better now (my German is not great, sorry...) this should mean "weight with transmission". I do have spare 348 gearbox as well but haven't check weight of it, any guesses how much it weight? So engine weight is then probably 250kg or something like that. Its actually relatively small. :)
