Who cares if he lost yet another big game, what's his passer rating?

So-called Super Bowl caliber teams don't lose by 38 points, and to an inconsistent division-rival of all teams. . .

94.8 not including today's game. So that'll slip some.

Chad Pennington has a higher rating. Kurt Warner, Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning all higher.

But in the end, isn't it what you do as a team that makes a quarterback great? And what you do in THE BIG GAMES?

Roger Staubach - GREAT. Troy Aikman - GREAT Dandy Don Meredith. Danny White. Not a shabby list. I look at these guys as great Dallas QBs. Tony Romo? Not yet.

What's his lifetime playoff record? 2-5 I think they said today on the TV.

And his December record? 5-12 or something awful like that.

You gotta win in December to make the playoffs. (well, except for the Giants.) And Romo doesn't win in December.

Hey look, I'm a Philly Eagles fan so I know bad when I see it. Romo's not a bad quarterback, at all. He's no Pete Liske. I just don't think Romo, YET, is a great QB. He may get there, but right now, no.

The cowboys fans shouldnt worry....Mike Vick will be out of prison by the end of january, and as the record of Jerry Jones has shown in the past, the cowboys might actually think about bring him on board..

It's amazing all the excuses that are made for the Cowboys. Aikman says still the most talented team in the league. Romo is young, he'll get better. Blah, Blah, Blah. The whole organization is dysfunctional, and Jones is on his way to becoming the next Al Davis.

Romo is nothing short of a show pony and will lead Dallas to nothing. I said it on here last season and the start of this.

Love the fact the Cowboys and the Pats aint playoff post season football !!!

Somebodies got to buy a stick of Crazy Glue and put it on Tony's hands. 13 fumbles, 7 lost something like that. His line has been rather inconsistent lately and he has been getting a lot of pressure, more than usual. Next season when we get Roy Williams working, this offense will be very very scary.

That's interesting Dave, I'm a Cowboys fan, and I got exactly what I expected. I hate playing the Eagles. Every time. It seems like they ALWAYS have our number, but I'm sure if I looked at the w/l ratio it's closer than I think. Playing the Eagles at home is even worse. I find it amusing that you seem to feel the same way with the opposite perspective.

Romo choked. As he usually does when there's something on the line. Until he can grow out of that, he'll never be one of the great ones. In his defense, I have no idea what his team mates were thinking most of the time, they obviously aren't communicating. I turned it off and went shopping after the 3Q Barber fumble.

Jones looks for people who are just like him, greedy and/or slimeballs. Jones needs to just be owner and quit trying to pretend he knows what he's doing and hire a GM and President.

I love every single minute of the game, even moreso everytime they showed JJ in his suite. Loved seeing the steam coming out of his ears.

My dad apparently heard the media bashing Romo pretty hard, saying this game proved he's the same guy he was in college, when it comes to the big game he can't follow through.

Hear about Romo? He tried to shoot himself with a gun! He was so upset about the game and collapsing in the shower, the bullet was intercepted so everything is ok.

Tony Romo asked for Jessica Simpson after collapsing in the Cowboys shower room from popped cartilage in his ribs.
TMZ reports: As if totally choking in the biggest game of the season weren't bad enough, Tony Romo had to have Jessica "Yoko" Simpson rush to his side to help him with a little popped-out cartilage. In Tony Romo's defense if I thought I was dying, I'd be crying for my girlfriend's insane cleavage too.

TONY: Oh, God, bring me Jessica. I need Jessica!
COACH: All we have is a can of Campbell's Chunky Soup with two water balloons taped to it.
    TONY: That'll work.

I am still puzzled. You have TO one of the best wide receivers in the game, Roy Williams a top 10 wide receiver, Jason Witten the best receiving tight end, and a pretty good guy in Patrick Crayton. How do these guys not get open or leave a small amount of people in the box to protect against the run? Also what happened to this Pro Bowl offensive line we had, the last few games they let Romo get hammered.

I could make excesses for Witten as he was hurting. Roy Williams and Romo didn't have time to work together...And how could they have T.O would have thrown a fit. It's got to be about chemistry and a team atmosphere, they don't have it. That's the coaches fault, but in fairness to Phillips, what are you to do when Jones says.."Here take these players and make it work".

The only bright spot in that game was they cut down on massive penalties they'd had last half of the season.

I also think Jones has his hand in the cookie jar 95% of the time. All season it's been talked about on tv and radio about Jerry Jones creating the problems the Cowboys have and needing to step down as both President and GM.

I was at the game, and it was a beautiful thing.

I heard that when Jerry Jones returned home, he stepped in a load his dog left on the living room floor.

He needs another facelift after that one. What a fool.

It's nothing new that Jones is a meddler. That can be traced back Jimmie Johnson. Jerry didn't like all the attention Johnson got, and thought he could run the team and get all the limelight. Dumbest move he ever made, then put a figure head stump on the sideline. ala Barry Switzer, and watch the team disintegrate. It's amazing they made it to the super bowl with Switzer as head coach, more a testament to the team talent, and NOT Switzer's ability for sure. Followed that up with Chan Gailey, and Dave Campo. Parcelles was the exception. Now Jones has another weak coach in Phillips, just the way he likes it.

Yes, he needs to put his ego aside, use his money to buy a disciplinarian coach and go invisible.

I said I hate those Cowboys, but I do know them as well as any fan.

You could see the anger, and maybe a small bit of glee in Jimmy Johnson on the Post Game Show. You don't really see him show his emotions like that.

Did you see the Eagles owner, Lurie I believe is his name. He was hugging players, chatting and laughing with them. Had the shoe been on the other foot, Jones wouldn't be hugging players and laughing with them. In his eyes they're still below him on the human scale.

I think the Cowboys need a new head coach. Wade just isn't what this team needs, they need a Bill Parcells or a Tom Coughlin or some disciplinarian to get these guys to do what they are paid milions of dollars to do. This team has the most talent of any team this year and maybe ever. They had 13 Pro Bowlers last year and brought in Pacman and Roy Williams. Somebody has to make this work. I really hope the Cowboys pick up Shanahan and fit him into the system, he can jumpstart the offense and get us moving again.

Wade was never meant to be the permanent head coach in Big D. He almost wasn't hired as Head Coach either, Jerry almost made Jason Garrett head coach. That team last year could have coached itself to a 10 win season but you can't fire a coach after winning 13 games (unless you are Marty Shottenheimer, ZING).

This team really hasn't had a career head coach since Tom Landry. I thought Jason Garrett was the guy but I don't know. Maybe Mangini, he is a tough guy. Maybe the Army has an extra drill sergeant, Cowboys should hire him.

Oh well, while everybody ponders what's the best coach for the Cowboys, you'll have to put up with another year of the same. Which raises the question, does anybody think they can make the playoffs next year with the current regime intact?

This team has the talent to win the Super Bowl, so I think you have to assume they make the playoffs next year. I could coach this team to 3 or 4 wins next. I think Roy Williams will start to mesh with Tony during training camp opening up the offense. Pacman will wake the **** up and remember how to play football and our injuries will heal up. I think this is definitely a playoff team, but it could also blow up and go 5-11.
