My dealer just inform me that there will be a 430 Scuderia in March production, but I have already ordered a 599 in April production. Which one is better to select? On the other hand, anyone know what is the name of this color and the actual color code! Need help, cause I have to confirm on next Monday!

get the car that suits your needs. neither are investments.

the actual color is called Nouvo Rosso Formula1 2007, a $25k option in the US.

Completely two different cars. I've owned them both but prefer the Scuderia for my needs.

Go with the 599, Newer more exclusive body style and more HP. If your going to track the car than get the Scuderia.

As the owner of both as well as an F430 Spider and an inbound Scuderia Spider, I have posted my response to this very question a few times. Please search for a more exhaustive response; it really comes down to expectations, driving style, wants, needs, etc. Suffice it to say, when I open my garage and see my cars - even on a bright sunny day, it is the Scuderia for me. That might change a bit when the Scuderia Spider hits my house in a few months, but the hardtop will always be the One for me!!!!!!!

Oh, and take it from someone that drives in New York City and has put a few thousand miles in my Scuderia, it is not a track only car - it is as at home and rewarding on the city streets as the winding roads as the track. To suggest otherwise would only come from - with all respect - someone that has not been fortunate to have lived with a Scuderia.

How is the heat in the Scud's? I drove one 5 weeks ago in 70 deg F ambient temps and the cabin was like a sauna. Now I was not familiar with the car and didn't have time to mess with any climate control stuff, but I thought I had turned the temp down to its lowest setting. We had to open the windows to keep from frying... Up north that might not be much of a problem, but in Texas that would/could be a deal breaker!

Hi james I think u need to mess w the climate control. I live in singapore where the ambient temperature is around 32 degrees C or 89 F. On top of that it gets extremely humid here. The car continues to perform perfectly, and the cabin temp is very comfortable when the aircon is turned on.

No problem with either heat or A/C.
Btw,I gave up a 599 for Scuderia,it was a perfect car, maybe just too perfect and it got boring after a while,a bit more comfy but significantly less thrilling.

You are lucky. There are many more deposits on Scuderias in HK than cars that will be available. You must be a very good customer to jump the queue. Many long-time customers are waiting for Scuderias with no assurance that they will get a car.

I would not even think for a nano-second in your position - go for the 430S. Much more suitable car for HK than the 599. As noted by others including none other than Lung 430S is fantastic on the road and anyone who thinks it is a track car has never lived with one

Strange, I was in the Ferrari dealer in Hong Kong last month and was told that both 599's and Scuderia's were available. Of course, the price quoted was about 60% higher than list in the States.

My Advise..... Go for the 430s.

IMO the Scuderia is a more exciting car to drive than the 599.

I really think you will be much happier with the 430S than the 599.

Also, in the future, there is a much bigger pool of buyers for the F430 than for the 599.

    Thanks,
    UZY

I had a 599 for about 5 months and just changed it for a Scuderia. For pure driving experience, nothing can beat the Scuderia. The 599 is a really comfortable fast car. Its great if you want to take long drives and plan to spend the night. For day drives for thrills, you have to go with the Scuderia. Its by far the most fun car I have owned.

In any car dealers in HK, prices are almost always higher by 50-100% than other countries due to the "first time registration fee." this is almost like the taxation of the car.
this portion gets passed onto the next buyer (with depreciation of course.)

Scuds are like 500k USD in HK OTD.
