No surprises here, once worked for a car guy who imported Ferrari amongst other things...275 GTB, one of the classic designs of all time...I feel quite priveleged and have fond memories of a close and personal encounter with them.

    Yup.

The 275 is one of my favorites too.

Sorry, I forgot to explain my unusual avatar.
It is a zebra's head that I saw in part of a modern art painting.
Apparantly I was one of the few who saw the zebra in there.
The red diamond is my attempt to show where it was in the painting.

It came from post #13 in this thread back in 2006:
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=136336731#post136336731

Noah (now a perma-banned user, I think) had a good smart aleck comment about it in post #14 in that thread.

I keep it as my avatar for two reasons:
    - the bright green color makes the avatar stand out
    - and it doesn't look like any sane user's avatar :)

    Toggie,
I think you should contact the guy who painted that and buy the painting. Just a thought. :)

LOL. I wonder if Zahiba still has it?
Think he'd mind if I mounted it using a different rotation and put some red magic marker on it? :)

However, I did actually buy a painting once from someone here on fchat.
Check out this post. You'll recognize my car and license plate.

What's cool is you can see Miha drawing it in stages starting with post #169 in that thread.

I had it framed and it hangs in my home office. Miha is amazing.

Screen Name: Scuderia NoVA - My brother, Scuderia VA created the account for me here on fchat while he was at my house surfing. Scuderia NoVA ("NoVA" for Northern Virginia where I live) was what popped in his mind. We were both searching for our first ferraris back then. He found out about fchat and he wanted me to check out all the information and cool pics on this site. It's the name I use all over the interweb today. I like the play on words my brother inadvertently created. "No va" in spanish literally means "no go", hardly the image one has in mind when one thinks of the Scuderia but appropriate for me since I drive a 328 GTB -- a fast car in its day but "doesn't go" like the newer cars do today.

Avatar: Picture is one I took of the clocks in the operating room showing the exact time that my boys (twins born 1 minute apart) were born.

    Happy New Year everyone!
