328 -- what color is your spare?

Dark Grey, SN 80813

 

Standard silver - same as the other 4.

79393 is a UK car first Reg'd Jan 89 & spare is a full size front i.e. 205x55x16 (with original tyre on it I think!)

 

were spares optional on these models, like the Mondial T+ series?

IF so, then I'd expect the color to be varried.

A few years ago I bought a 328 spare from an fchatter because I wanted a slimmer spare to keep in my 308. It is gray. Unfortunately, I can't shed any light on this investigation because I don't know anything about the 328 it came from. I can tell you that to make it fit a 308, you need a small spacer, which I carry with the spare and had made by Hill Engineering. But now I have so much space up front, I can stash my tools, jack and everything up front with the spare. Better weight balance!

Any 411 on touch up paint for the dark grey? I got dinged for some small chips at a concours (talk about nit picky).

 

Mine is dark grey. Dec '85 build date. S/N 61553. It is the spacesaver.

Mine is actually a darker color than the regular wheels. Can this be a normal situation? Seems rather strange to have a spare wheel that is a different color than the regular wheels. But if you look at the Ferrari wiring diagrams, I can understand how colors can get confused.

 

Does anyone know the p/n or where one can get the orange triangular sticker that is on the spare tire?

 

I don't, but I got my coolant tank sticker from the gentlemen at Ricambi. Maybe David or Daniel could assist.
