My only comment is asking $175 or so for BIN is crazy.

while they don't specialize in ferrari's, I have several friends that have bought cars from them. They are good people. But as always, get a PPI...

As others have mentioned before, spending a little money on PPI would go a long way. Good luck

Seems like a reasonable price to me. Unlike the other "high-volume" Ferraris, CS prices aren't falling. While you can't tell anything from pictures (but the car does look nice), if the car's PPI checks out I'd also have a body shop take a look to make sure the car hasn't been in an accident either on or off the track.

These cars are only going to get more rare over time.

I have a funny feeling that in 15 years we're all going to look back at a time (or two) when we "could have/should have" bought a CS.

Good luck if you choose to move forward. I think the silver is a great color.

Not familiar with the dealer so can't provide any info, but that CS used to belong to fellow Fchatter "Goodwood".

CS prices are falling, just not free falling. The highest sellingpoint I heard of was $225 K. The lowest I've seen is 150K and If I remember correctly, the car had little over 12K miles.

I don't think there will be enough total losses of stradales to significantly make it more rare. Are there other reasons that would make the car more rare?

I hope you are right about the CS value in 15 years but I highly doubt it.

I also hope that 360F1 is correct about future values. I had been looking off and on for the last 18 months and actively searched for the last 6 months before purchasing recently. It is not that easy to find a one owner <6K mile Stradale with no stories and a little more difficult if you want a fully serviced one with a factory stripe, stereo, and extinguisher.

Fair enough ... however, I don't think the asking price is out of line. Sure, you can probably find a car for less, but, this car does have some nice options and if all things check out, it appears to be a nice car . All things are depreciating, so why would one expect to not see some with a Ferrari purchase ... you could probably lose more on a Mustang or Z06 ... but I think the CS is one of the safer buys and a buyer shouldn't get hurt any more than on any other car.

And forget about that offer out of frustration for the CS at $130k ... fortunately, he came back to his senses :)

My humble, but, biased opinion :)

...took a look at this CS yesterday and decided to pass. Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful car, but I was uncomfortable with the race headers/exhaust (which are the most awesome sounding thing I've ever heard by the way). Problem is, whoever added this exhaust had to add extensive heat shielding as well, which kind of looks like crap and required many holes to be drilled. Also the CEL stays on (to his credit, the seller pointed this out on his own) and the control panel where the gas cap switch resides kept popping out.
Dealer seems like a cool guy though, and I had no bad vibes about doing business with him.

    I'll keep looking...

    Thanks again!

That car appears to be one that used to be here in Phoenix and I've met the owner. Very nice car prior to the exhaust and headers. If it is the same one, it's been tracked at least twice and had some paint work done on the rocker panels. The dealer removed some clear bra from them and the paint came with it. No accidents that I'm aware of and if put back to stock, it was a very nice car. The work on the car was done at Evolution Motorsports and the CEL was a known problem. Very loud with the header and exhaust as well.

but now I am a bit concerned about the dealer, since he was pretty emphatic that the car was never tracked. Of course the thought occurred to me that anyone that put that kind of exhaust on the car was more likely than not to go out and 'test' it out on a track.
    hmmmm....

can't blame the dealer for info that wasn't disclosed to him.

personally, I don't see why track miles are a big deal to everyone. To me, cold starts and poor parking lot driving can do more damage that track miles.

+1 I would be more worried about maintenance records and driving habits. These are race cars!

    CSISNEXT.....

I was a dealer for 20 years and have bought a few cars from Parin (the owner) at Chicago Motor Cars......I have no concerns about buying from them sight unseen, even though I would never do that with anyone......they are upfront, and the cars I bought were "verbally as represented" when I flew down to do PPI's on them.

The CEL is on because the OBD II system recognizes the lack of cats. $2K gets you a reprogrammed ECU.......no biggie.......

I posted "it appears to be". I don't know how many grigio titanio w/o stripe exist, but I'm guessing there are very few and of those, how many have the harmony parts on them?

It appears to be the 16th car down in the left hand column:
