Check the showroom threads on the various supercars, or just use google.

Hmm. 'Google' is a word on Ferrarichat but 'Supercars' is not. Funny.

There is a very cool picture of a black F50 in half...because of how the chassis utilizes the engine as a stressed member, any trans or engine work will mean that the back half of the car simply comes off. It's really cool.

Oh go on then! I couldn't resist the urge to help a little, you see... Sorry, wasn't strong enough, haha.

Anyway, 1th you see the mentioned black F50.

And a few of a red one that show you what has to be done when an F50 (or Enzo, etc) comes in for a new clutch

Good luck with searcing for more. This site has LOADS of those pics!!!

Can you imagine being the tow truck driver sweeping the Enzo up? I would have big tears running down my checks.

Great thread. I hope the guys fixing that black Enzo don't lose any parts! What a PITA.

Hope this doesn't derail the thread, but does anyone know if the Steffan Erikson Enzo is being repaired (rebuilt)?

Oh man, now I wish I would have taken pictures when I visited Rizi's dealership in Houston. He had 3 F40's, 1 F50 and 2 Enzo's in the service area. But I promised Joseph not to take pictures :(

I think its ridiculous that a car should be dismantled in half just to change a clutch

Not that silly - depends whether it takes two hours or two days to access the clutch rather than whether or not the car ends up in two pieces :)
