Voting is still underway for the BEST RACE of 2009 in ALMS - http://americanlemans.com/poll/poll.aspx

Sebring has to emerge as the top in this when voting is concluded. Why? this is (for now) the only time the radically different R15 will be in North America and the P1 class will be the best of the year. Second best would have to be Laguna Seca, that being the last race of the season and it's quite possible the GT2 Championship determining race. With the addition of BMW and their driver line-up, the additional RSR's and the 430's, GT2 promises to be the best racing platform again this year.

Kinda weird to vote for a race that hasn't taken place yet...;)

I vote Sebring cause I'm going...:)

We're headed back to Sebring again this year too. Does seem weird but based on competition info already available for the year, it makes it easier. Also knowing the circuits and what type of racing is typically seen on them helps.

maybe the ALMS races are scripted, like NASCAR? ;)

I say Sebring, with Petite a close 2nd...winners get automatic invite to LeMans, so usually an interesting field there too.

    NO NO please don't think that horrible thought . . . NOT ALMS - it's Grand Am that's scripted! ! !

Petit is also a very good choice due to the automatic invite and also the fact that it's 10 hours of exceptional racing.

Thanks Rik! Looks like you had a great time at Autosport - I was almost wishing we went again this year. So, did you win the karting event? . . . you and Mr. LeMans both have big smiles :) When can we expect awesome news from your camp??? It seems that Rob Bell is much sought after for this year for the 430 - CR Scuderia and looks like with the split of Virgo and he's with Team JMW - LMS??
