    Hello chaps.

In my shared garage there is a 308GTB (bertone version) which appears to be abandoned. It is covered in dust and its tax disc ran out in 2004.

The car is located in London UK. Pretty sad really. I wonder if it could be rescued?

Apparently SOMEONE is paying the rent on the space... I wouldn't call that abandoned...

This is very sad. Exactly, someone is paying rent on the space. Someone I know, had a Summer house in Hawaii, but lived in Maryland. A few years ago, she went to Hawaii to check on the house and never came back to her home in Maryland. For a few years, she has told me that she "will" do it.

At the least, owners of these fine automobiles should choose a garage that "walks the car" now and then.

If it is a LHD, I know someone that might be interested here in Portugal ...

It is a GT4, not a GTB. And it is right-hand drive, judging by the windshield wipers.
It is so hard for a car to sit and not run for so long. So sad.

That GT4 probably couldn't pass its MOT when it was due, and the owner just parked it and left it sitting there rather than incur the cost of repairs. Best place to start is with the garage manager. Ask who owns it and try to get in touch with them. He may also know why the owner parked it and left it that way. It's a shame it wasn't covered, and someone should shoot the idiots who wrote in the dust (scratches the paint something fierce). If you talk to the owner and they want to sell it, get the info and post it here. Someone over in the UK or Europe might be very interested in picking up a project car.

It most likely belongs to the guy with the yellow 355 spider in the back ground! & it does not look like a stranded car to me.. just covered in dust from an underground car park!

Hmm, I'm not convinced that it's abandoned or has been in that location for very long - or has it ?

Looks more like it's just been found and rescued ...let's hope. Anyone work for the DVLA or such to run a check ... :)

ps, I'm kind of fond of the "rust-in-piece" photos - can we start a sticky thread with pictures of finds :)

    Hi chaps.

    Sorry, yes GT4.

It doesnt belong to the guy with the yellow F355 spider as that is me.

It has been there for over a year (the length of time I have been there). I believe the dust occured when the garage was refurbished around the car. I assume the builders wrote in the dust. The garage is now completely dust free.

The car is indeed RHD. As the tax disc ran out in 2004, it is safe to assume it has not been on the road since then.

Looks in good nick apart from a bit of fur forming on the steering wheel. I guess it would need a complete mechanical check over.

I will try asking the Management and let you know.
