Ah yes, Rosemary Davis who lived two doors from me in Islington, Ontario. My 1st 'True Love'!!!! I think the highpoint of our relationship was when we held hands.
Cornell University use to buy fireflies for a nickle each. I had a huge glass jar of those bad boys, stayed up all night catching them. About 3/4 of the way to the lab on my bike boom I dropped the jar.
Marvel Comics Crazy magazine. I used to collect them as well as Mad magazine & National Lampoon, I wasn't a fan of Cracked though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pop rocks, bubble yum, and Boo Berry's. Oh ya I almost forgot, The ability to buy a big block Cuda for $4000.
The candles and holders are available from German or Austrian stores. The trick is to find a suitable tree. Unsheared fraser Fir is best we've found. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone remember "astronaut food/snacks"? they were these sticks of chocolate or peanut butter stuff... less chewy than a tootsie roll, larger than one but similar idea.
you can still get it. Saw it at the grocery store today. http://www.amazon.com/Booberry-10-25-Ounce-Boxes-Pack-6/dp/B000FIFGFQ
The Drive In theater and a Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Station wagon stuffed with 9 or ten people on the carload for $6 night. Last movie I saw at the drive in was Jaws, the lot is a Best Western hotel now. DM
Riding mini bikes in the back yard. Yup had a good sized yard, no one out here has those anymore. It wa a Benelli (sp), we also had a Honda 50 and some kind of Sears 5HP mini bike with NO suspension. Unless you consider your ass a part of the suspension.
Yep. Honda Trail 70. I had a Yamaha 80 little 2 stroke too, not YZ. I think every neighborhood had one of those 5 HP mini-bikes. They were awful.
ha! you would be sent to all sorts of therapists, specialists and seminars, and/or drugged for doing that now.
We got them in Canada, infact had one the other day I love all kinds of junk food infact just got back from the store where I loaded up on Sour-key's(my FAVOURITE) hagen-daz ice cream bars and a aero chocolate bar....and all of it will be gone in about two hours!
I was a regular Mad reader, never got into Cracked, National Lampoon I liked...it was nasty. That must be similar in spirit to what we called "queer hooks"...the little hanging loop at the center back stitching of standard oxford button-down shirts...if you didn't take it off the shirt, other guys would grab it and yell "queer"...wierd mid-1960's social custom, I guess.
Haha smear the queer. Haven't heard that term in a while. I miss: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the AFX set with 4 lanes, so you could race 4 Indy cars at a time. I loved that set...but it never worked right. Everytime I go on Ebay... I see something that reminds me of being a kid. My wife knows this and gets me silly stuff, I got these VHS videos for Christmas and love the way it reminds me of Saturday afternoon watching Creature Feature with my little brother Image Unavailable, Please Login
we called them *** tags. a friend of mine pulled one off a guys shirt and the whole back of the shirt ripped down.
