Wondering (or trying to find pictures of) what KISS looked like without the makeup. We're talking late 70's.

I remember finding a (paparazzi-style) spyshot of Gene Simmons (with Cher) and Paul Stanley. I still have the clippings. :D

Back in my day, Girls were in shape - maybe, just maybe, 3 of every 200 were slightly chubby.
Slays me to see kids today act like it's the Seventies, as they can't, just... can't... even come close to getting the walk right.

    Other than that...

    Same here! :(

On a lighter note...I miss (designated) nap time in school, having an allowance, and freedom to eat Nutty Bars without thinking about the gym!

One thing I DON'T miss. Nutrisystem shakes. I was a bulbous lad in the first years of junior high. Not Major Titz like the fat kids of today, but I had a gravity all my own. My parents fed me some mixed powdered shakes from Nutrisystem I do believe, that tasted HORRIBLE. I mean, sprinkle chocolate powder in an elephant's used condom awful.

I lost a lot of weight on that system, mostly because I had nothing to eat for 6 months."Water" became my main source of nutrients.

Mmm...fluoride. As a result, when this universe collapses upon itself and a new one is born, only my teeth shall survive.

"Those soft fuzzy sweaters, too magical to touch ..." (Angel is a centerfold)
.. with or without the bullet bras. ;)

... Back when cashmere was a fabric, rather than a war zone. :(

(How could '60s women *not* be attracted to a fabric whose name started with "cash"? ;))

Oh...what I miss from my youth.

Being able to go down to the corner store at 7 years old and no one thought this was bad. You could walk from your house to the store every day of the week and only had to worry about the weather.

Of course, the random pervert did try to talk me into his car....and I am certain that I could pick him out of a police line up 30 years on, my distrust of balding men with a horseshoe of hair around the head is pervasive to this day.

What I really remember is my waffle stompers....hiking boots that had great traction in all circumstances. I can't remember the brand name of those shoes. But they always took me like 14 hours to lace up and three hours to brush off. I was mighty proud of those boots, and even had three sets that I put into a cheap plastic bag with slots for each shoe that hung in my closet.

    Neat.

I also loved my crappy LP player that was olive drab that I to wind up by hand and I used to listen to stories of some black guy with a hammer. I loved that record. The black guy with the hammer or something that worked on a railroad.

How about the trips to the drug store where you could test your batteries and tubes and get a pound of fresh nuts from the round white trays that were in a glass case!

Had the biggest AFX set up in the the neighborhood.

Loved those things. I'd save my allowance money for new cars and look at them in the toy store for weeks as i was saving the money for 'em.

    G-plus was like adding turbo.
