I just purchased my first ferrari and seem to have a tough time locating a mechanic in my area. Does anyone know of any mechanics in jersey?? Your help will greatly be appreciated.

if you're near morristown check out new vernon coach and motorworks. Steve is the owner, licensed ferrari mechanic. Reasonable rates and honest service.

    As always
Steve Arena at Arena Motors near Teterboro airport is tops. He was the lead WWoC mechanic and now operates his own shop where he services the GDC fleet. There's plenty of threads here about hs work. I use him and he's excellent.

Also, Ferrari of Central NJ in Edison has a phenomenal shop and great crew lead by Enzo from WWoC. Another great crew.

Lastly, especially for body work, nobody beats Classic Coach of Elizabeth NJ. Need Race/track prep or major body work? Look no further.

I would like to qualify this: I would not recommend anyone who isn't very familiar with your model Ferrari.
When I bought mine, it had a mis-fit battery banging around the boot, disconnected vacuum hoses, wrong radiator hoses from the Prior Owner going to a local Exxon mechanic. You want someone who knows the car, where to get parts, and how to tweak your model.
Even something as getting an alignment: I've had it done twice outside the Ferrari circle at reputable facilities and it was botched both times. Eurotires, Classic Coach: done spot-on. You can feel the difference.

Mods, we really should sticky this.... Seems like there is a new request for an NJ mechanic every week...

(oh, yeah, and to the OP, another +1 for Steve Arena. He worked on my Ferrari when I had it.)

I've had most of the 'top' mechanics in the area work on my F cars over the years and by far the best is Vinny Latino at Auto Elite in Fort Lee NJ. His phone number is (201) 947-2371.

He really stands behind his work. People ship their priceless Ferraris from all over the country for him to work on.

And best of all, he charges the lowest prices I've ever seen.

I use Jim McAgee at Pocono Sportscar in Shola, PA. It is a ride but a really nice one. This guy is aces. He worked for Ferrari of North America for many many years and then decided to open his own operation. He is professional, maticulas, and works on your car as if it was his own. A true pro that takes pride in his work. His prices are also very very fair. He can be reached at 570-296-6486. I highly recommend calling him to discuss your concerns and requirements. Oh. He is also a FChat Member (Dr.Ferrari) and has chimed in on many threads to help and guide us in the right direction. He deserves a call !

+1000 for Vinny at Auto Elite. Just finished his second major in eight years on my 328. Years of experience and very knowledgeable (especially older Ferraris), humble, extremely fair pricing, and makes a terrific espresso...
