I don't have a problem driving the Fcar during good weather. Most folks around my neck of the woods don't seem to be or look annoyed . In fact I am still trying to see where this big financial crisis is hitting our area. The malls are full and you need reversations for dinner on weekends. I just took in a show in NYC last week and there wasn't an empty seat. So enjoy the car and drive as much as possible. Life is short so make the most of it. Enjoy the drive

I agree, I was in the emergency room last year and the Catscan and MRI results were not good, something I have to deal with every day, suffice to say I live every day to the fullest and feel guilty not, so get the most out of each day drive your cars, fly your planes, and dance the dance of life to the best of your ability and dont look back....

"One of my best business relation died last year of brain cancer.
He got the diagnostic 2 months after buying is dream boat. Man what a machine!
So please enjoy life to the fullest, don't get abrasive with your toys and enjoy talking to people who wants to share their passion for the F-brand.
And all the other f*ck*rs that once in a while annoy you; well let them pass you by and continue with your happy life. And don't wipe that stupid smile every time your hear that fantastic sound!
Like Paul Mccartney said: "To live and let die". "

I have had mine vandalized, but as said you fix it quickly and go on with life!

I'm living pretty fast, these days...I just finished a relationship, six days elapsed, from start to finish! LOLOLOL!
Unless she comes back, for a second lap......

But, as others have posted, I have lost a lot of friends suddenly in the past year and you never know when The Reaper is gonn be the next knock on your own door.

So drive 'em, if they are running!

Now the guy that blasted the window glass out of my truck last night, to steal my CD music collection, THAT sheeit pizzed me off! It was raining and all the papers they threw out were messed up too.......and they stole my Owners Manual pouch and the cellphone charger.....from a TOYOTA! WTF????? :D :D :D

Then my new lover called, to break up.....a perfect day!

I park my Ferarri's in downtown Annapolis almost every weekend with different results. This past weekend, some tourists asked me to take their pics next to the 360. Not unusal. No frozen stares or spittle. Perhaps you're driving, parking and dining in the wrong town! My experience has been nothing but positive. Come visit Annapolis!

    +1.

To original poster, care to mention where in DC that this was happened? I don't even own a Ferrari yet (and my GT3 is kinda flashy enough) but just want to avoid and take precaution about the neighborhood. DC area is getting more and more haters as economy declines.

....and keep the right attitude about it. In Los Angeles, i've had both reactions. The negatives are clearly either twits or punks that have a chip on their shoulder that they don't get more handouts. Mostly I get "thumbs up" and great comments. I also keep a very "non-snob" attitude about it. I've seen some people, regardless of car, act like they own the world. I came from a very modest background, in the midwest, and worked my butt off like the rest of you. I feel that if you portray a modest or humble attitude, you will receive the same. In that regard, i enjoy the heck out of my 430. Its like a drug. I've only been an F owner since May, and i've never felt anything like it. Life's too short. Enjoy.

This summer, while working for Ferrari-Bentley Denver, I was driving a bright red Bentley Continental GTC back from an upholstery shop with the top down. Because I'm rather young and because the car was a bright red convertible, I was getting lots of looks. Not far from the dealership, a guy in a Jeep with no doors came right up next to me and yelled out, "Hey, a**hole!!" I looked over at him and he was flipping me off, screaming "How do you like that, d*****bag?!"

I just laughed. Of course, I was on the job, making slightly above minimum wage, which was the ironic bit. But he thought I was rich, and I thought he was pathetic. Being jealous isn't going to get you anywhere.

I went to a car event a few weeks ago and an elderly gentleman walked up to me and said quite sincerely "Well! I'm glad someone is doing well in this economy". He was actually happy to see something positive aside from all the doom and gloom going around. Really nice guy too. He loved the car.

An F-car is typically a "look at me" car and that's why the majority of people get them. So that buyer profile could care less what people think. There is the category that really enjoys the car for themselves and would rather not deal with anyone else's attitude. Sound like you fall into that category. Personally if I could drive it with out a sole seeing me I would. Certainly not any reason to feel guilty but if you'd rather be on the DL(down low) parking it out in front of a restaurant isn't exactly going to get you the thumbs up these days.

As a matter of fact, fook everyone else and just enjoy it but, there will always be the haters out there that will never amount to much and could cause you a little grief.

There you go. Most people respect that.

I've only ever had ONE person say, "Hey, Ferrari guy! F#*( you!"

Everyone else who's ever made a comment, that I heard, made a positive one.

(Besides, my 308 GTB is not, contrary to popular misperception, a $100k car! Evidently some people think it's a GTO. I wish!)

How you "feel" is your choice, no one can MAKE you feel anything, to feel guilt about success, is your choice alone.
I've never had a bad comment about my Ferrari, just the opposite in fact, just extreme enthusiasm, from young and old alike. Just a couple weeks ago a little boy about
5 years old was in his front yard with his Mother and saw me coming down the street- he came running over to the sidewalk and waved at me with a huge grin as I passed by, I waved back and it made his day, I'm sure. (he probably thought I was Magnum PI in person)
