When you refer to a model as being "curbside," what does that mean? I'm pretty new to model building, but getting my feet wet. :)

'Curbside means that it has no engine detail, as in if you saw it parked, that is what it would look like.

A couple more non Ferrari models from Model Factory Hiro in 1/20th scale.
The Tolman TG183B and Lotus 97T.

By the way, Minidelta.be will be sending samples of their latest new models
so that we can display them at Ferrari Expo 2009 in Chicago. We will also have the
latest kits from Model Factory Hiro and other quality kit manufactures at the show.
The show will be again held at Continental Autosports Ferrari/Maserati on April 25th 2009.

Waste of tooling. 8C, a nice 156 (Leonardo in progress here), a D50, a 158 all nicer choices, as much market as the bus. Hope it makes money for them, but a snap-kit should suffice. Anyone doing Challenge wheels for the 599 yet? Someone is doing Daytona seats, I forget who.

I would like all the models you mention, but most people wouldnt even know
what they look like let alone want them. This is a new car so they will do well with it. Only problem is the Japanese kit manufactures will duplicate the same car thus cutting sales in half. The Revell should have a motor.

I have had a few Leonardo kits. They are very hard to build since they are not very accurate.

Agreed, but F-1 cars in Germany do well. Vintage GP racing pretty popular, so I wish it would help. Doing a bus like they did (beautiful kit, but why @ $100?), they could do a nice plastic Mac F1, a Veyron (ugly), a Pagani. A vintage GP series with lotus 49, 77, M23, 312T (Marui is OK) may sell.
Leonardo is PITA, but only 1/24 158 out there, so had to have one. Front suspension is pretty decent once fitted, rear end is a pain but workable. The 158 from CG isn't a treat either, but it's better than my Cox kit. Strombecker D50 and 250F are great starting points, just 50 year old tools.
    3 GT-R's and no 997 GT3 RS's. A 612 and no 8C. A 70's Celica fastback and no Ghibli? Mad-tyte drifter 240SX and no Koenigsegegeegggg? Not even a resin Stig.

I think the problem is in licensing, not the willingness of the kit companies release one or the other model. I would think that it is much easier to get a license to make a 70's Celica or 240SX than 8c or Koenigsegg.

If you are talking about an Alfa 8C you should pick up a Cararama or Welly
1/24th 8C. They are more detailed then a Fujimi kit. Right now the kit makers are back to 1/20th for F1 again. I really dont like 1/20th scale as its
to close to 1/18th and to big. It would have made sense to do sportscars
and F1 the same scale like they did in 1/43rd. You can thank Tamiya for that.
I do like seeing 1/20th F1 models built. Hiro is really doing some nice detail kits, but at the expense of not releasing several 1/24th Ferrari sportscars.
I just hope they dont go under before releasing the 330LMB and 250 TDF
    kits!!.

The Tamiya 1/24th model of the car is curbside only, but they do offer a photoetch sheet for the kit.

A couple of new ones from Studio 27. They are very simple curbside models. 1/20th Larrouse LC90 Lamborghini 1990 and Ferrari F430GT in 1/24th scale. I hope Technomodel model does F430GT as they put in alot
of extra detail parts Studio 27 does not.

Also S27 totally screwed the rims up. I have started this kit and did some correcting but I think I'm going to get a resin copy of Scale Motorsport's C6R rims which are way better.

Technomodel's rims look great in pics but they are taking their sweet time on getting a kit done.

New 1/43rd handbuilt from Eidolon, a Ferrari F40LM Art Sports from Road America in 1990. Here is a photo I took of the car at Road America back in 1990 during practice(for private use only).
Wheel covers not used during the race.

Model Factory Hiro will now be doing a 1965 Cobra Ford super coupe in 1/24th scale and a long awaited Lotus 49 and Porsche F1 804 in 1/20th scale( the 804 is much needed as its so hard to find a Porsche F1 victory:)!). What happened to the 250TDF and 330LMB they announced early last year!!
