Pricing is interesting. Base price went up roughly $4200 and transportation up $500. But the big change is that there is no US Carbon Package that was tacked on to the 2008 models. Now Ferrari is back to individual options. So basically a similar equipped 2009 vs a 2008 is around $20k more for the same car.

Wow, thanks. Now I can add up option prices and know how many more times I have to be a Dollar Millionaire at McDonalds to save up for a Scud. Back in the day, you could get to the official Ferrari configurator through Foreign Cars Italia's site, but they changed the site last month to where you have to fill out a credit app first. I don't think I should do that because whoever reads it would die laughing.

The base car spec and base price now match the Canadian scuds. We never had to buy the carbon package here in 2008. The US base price appears to be adjusted for the current USD/CAD exchange. Canadian scuds with the same options were cheaper up until this adjustment.

I don't know if you are or not but owners can still access the configuration through the regular web portals, you just need to sign up and have all your pertinent info. I have spent a few hours fooling around on the build site!

Not only have they increased prices, but the value of the Euro has gone down so things should be less to us.

Me, F owner? Like the Hertz commercials used to say ... not exactly. :) May happen in the next couple years if all goes well in my business, in fact I'm really working to make it so. Until then, I'm in desperate need of another way to waste time online. Also the configurator gives you the official names for the colors. Could anybody tell me what's Ferrariese for these Scud colors:

My apologies, I have been a member of the Ferrari family since birth and on this site it is a bit hard to tell. Keep at it, I have to say there are not many things more enjoyable then driving a Ferrari, cloths on or off! The Scud is sick and if my $$ was right I would have one, till the day comes where I take over the family business I will be content with the C4 and driving my fathers Ferrari's too!

Oh and fyi, I am not some spoiled kid, I am 26 with an MBA and the CFO of my families real estate development firm.

Good gravy, no apologies necessary! Very nice to be thought of as a potential F owner by an actual F owner. It's great that you have somewhere to take your MBA and do good productive work with it, and get the compensation you deserve, from the get-go. I was in the joint JD/MBA program but (this is how much business sense I have) I first got tired of the psychobabble management classes and switched to the MSTax program, and second, noticed after graduation that the psychobabble pays a whoooole lot better, and third, I've hardly done any tax law at all.

Instead, the long story short is I wound up in consumer protection law and I'm in the middle of a huge nationwide fraud case representing many people who've been badly ripped off. Within a few months we should have a very VERY large judgment in our favor, and we already have arrest orders out on three of the defendants. The only question is, can we get their money before they hide or run off with it? If we collect even 2% of the damages they're likely to owe, my share of it (contingent fee agreements do have their upside) will be more than enough to pick up a Scud. This is what keeps me going--notice I'm at work on a Friday night, not out goofing off with my buds like I should be. I sure look forward to riding my friends around in a really special car, and it will happen if I keep working at it. And if this case doesn't pay off, another one will be along pretty soon. One way or another, I'll be one of those overnight successes about twelve years in the making.

And thanks Mr. Moravek for the colorful answer. And sorry all for the thread drift.
