Pretty bent at the Wifey today

A couple nights ago while setting up AM coffee and putting a couple cups out (The sign that I set up coffee for the next morning), I left a small sticky note in the wife's cup with one of those mushy 'I love you - bla-bla bla's (I do stuff like this once in a while, kinda fun). Well last night, the topic of that note came up and she stated "You probably wrote that note to take the heat off of me staying after you to get some things done around the house"! After hearing that, I got pretty torqued and bent out of shape! Here I am taking the time to drop a little surprise note from my heart only to get it rubbed in my face that I was only trying to buy some time to get the Honey-Do list taken care of.

Should I:

1) Blow it off?
2) Stay pissed off?
3) Let it go and take care of the to-do list only when I feel like doing so?
4) Bite the bullet, hire a handi-man to whip out the list?
5) Get a quick divorce and move out of state with somebody half my age with big hooters that Lamour would give his left nut for?

2) Want to further push the issue?
3) Delay the fight for another day?

The best thing you can do is make her feel like crap for saying that. Tell her you're hurt that she thinks the only reason you show her any affection is to get out of doing things. Then don't mention it again. You might even get a hummer out of it.

Hi This is William H's girl . . . I suppose you could tell her you left her a love note because you were thinking about spending a weekend at the Bunny Ranch and wanted her to feel loved . . . Nah, just kidding! Seriously, though, hire a handi-man and while you are at it, call a cleaning service to help her out around the house and book her an appointment for a massage or manicure. Then you both can spend the time and energy it would take to do stuff on some "sexy time" instead.
P.S. Option #5 sounds fun until you realize you will then have TWO btchy women in your life and a much skinnier wallet!!!!

I would think she would be impressed with a nice little note like that. Does she have a right to call you out? Notes only work when she is feeling good about you. Ask her what she wants you to do and see if it is reasonable.
