Anyone familiar with this company? They seem to specialize in lightly damaged exotics, some even retaining clean title. Prices are certainly tempting (ie a 2006 Gallardo E-Gear Spider with less than 15k miles is being offered for $108k!)

 

Ick...would you really wanna touch a salvage car? That Spyder you're referring to looks ugly, and I don't mean the paint color.

You can buy one for around 125-135K without clean title, why bother?

 

If the price is right and you really dont plan on selling, why not buy a salvage. ESPECIALLY if you can do the work yourself...PLUS everyone wants one of these cars...someone will buy it from you if offered at the right price....

Be very careful when buying a salvage title car. Some sellers charge big dollars for these cars so what you end up with after all said and done is close to paying for a car that had a clean title. Try to buy salvage cars / damaged cars from the car owner. You should never and I mean never be in for more than half of the current market value (after all said and done - buying car, parts and labor to fix). Never buy a salvage title car that has been already rebuilt. You don't know what happened to the car, you'll never get a straight answer for what happened, and the outfit that fixed this car is really worried about his bottom line profit at the end. I bought a damaged Ferarri - 1990 TR that was damaged pretty good and the owner no longer wanted the car. I was at the right place at the right time. Paid a great price and got a great car with a clean title to find out later on that the title was washed and was one time a salvage title car. No biggie for me because I fixed her up and I am only 26K-27K deep in this car - complete. Keep in minds these cars are keepers and drivers. No one is really interested in buying these cars for 75% - 80% of market value (far and few) or higher. Be patient, find a car thats damaged that a owner no longer wants or has the option to retain the salvage from his or her insurance company, fix it yourself - if your not an auto body person or do not have a very close relative with a body shop be careful. Make sure your parts are lined up was well (used parts located, prices verified etc.)

That's the problem with these Salvage car dealers. You just never know what happened to the previous car. If the front end was replaced, it'd lead me to believe it was so ugly that the dealer didn't believe they could sell it without dressing it up.

One mans garbage is another mans treasure. There is a sucker born every minute. It was put back to factory specs. How many other idioms do you want for not buying a salvage exotic. Do you eat food from the trash bin?
