I like the practical aspects of my '83 GTS, with the higher, more-scrapeproof front spoiler and more-protective Fed-spec bumpers. (Totaled 330 2+2 is still fresh in my memory, going on 2 yrs. later).

These practical features are neither butt-ugly nor aesthetically-pleasing.

There well could be another 308, as I have grown very fond of this model. Next one will be a steel-bodied Eurospec carbed GTB or GTS, damn the practicality.

Sorry all you non-red 308/328 guys, your cars are unquestionably beautiful, but c'mon..

Everybody knows a red Ferrari is the ultimate head-turner! Red is the official racing color of Italian racing teams.

    Red Ferraris ARE the standard!

Now, saying this, I would still own a black or silver 328 ANYTIME!

    Like the early euros best.
Think a Ferrari should be interesting and require more than a glance to take it in. So, sorry guys, find little interest in the red brigades.
How can it be best looking if there's ten others the same at any gathering of the clan?
What's best looking in a pic and in front of you is two often very different things I think. Haven't seen many of the blues in the flesh but suspect one of the blue shades will be my best looking 308.
Will know it when I see it. The right combination of colour and lines grabs your attention in a different way, almost as if that one is made from unique materials that reflect and complement each other.

At the outset, I would have preferred a more conservative color like silver or black for my 308, but the rosso corsa has really grown on me.

Next 308, fly yellow, rosso rubino, or dark blue on a GTB.

The question asked was not what is "the standard" or most popular. The question was..."from purely a beauty standpoint, which year, model, color, version 3x8 model is your favorite? I'm not talking about your favorite to own or drive. Just your favorite to look at." Favorites change based on several things. Two years ago I would have said the Red/Tan GTS. Now its a GTB but I must admit a Red 512 is starting to grow on me from a sound standpoint! (grin)

Right off hand I'd say a fly-yelow Euro GTB.

Can't be best looking with those hideous US bumpers, I'm sorry. Just not possible.

the first car is not mine, i ran across it somewhere on these boards, and i thought it looked awesome. I know some will blast the black wheels, but it looks great imo.

the second car is mine, i have been thinking of paintign the inserts black, thoughts/opinions are welcome....

Those are beautiful wheels. :D They're what I eventually want on my GT4. But I wouldn't paint the interior of them. I'd leave them as they are. If anything, a light flat grey, might look okay, maybe, and just to highlight was already looks a little grey anyway.

But seriously.. (IMHO of course ;) ) ...leave 'em alone.

I'll take a Euro 308 GTB qv all black thank you very much! I like the lower front of the qv best and of course, the Euro bumpers are always better looking. Forget that roof spoiler for me though please. I must say though that I really love the looks of a dark blue 308GT4 with 16" qv rims too, cream interior. I ALSO love the GTB in yellow!!

IMO, the cars w/ F&R black bumpers look better than the intergrated/painted 328 sreies.

We all love our cars....308 or 328.....

But IMO those (black) bumper cars tie in the scoops, grilles, and other (black) areas of the car better than the painted bumber cars.

The 328 was a mechanical improvement over the 308, but was it an actual styling improvement?

Again, we all love our cars. Yet IMO, styling is not a linear progression.

I'd take a 86-87 high Mirror TR over a 512M (w/ the cheesy wheels) any day...but that is just me.

We will all have our differing opinions, but lets all agree that Ferrari rules....!

I love the look of the Euro spoiler but it is a pain to live with !

I bought this as an interim car and now find it very hard to swap for another

There really is no wrong answer, but I prefer the clean and pure lines of a Euro body, carbed berlinetta.
