    +1! Red/Tan, of course,

but I would prefer it with the nicer 328 interior, especially the doors panels.

I definately prefer the 308 front and rear bumpers which accentuate the aggressive aerodynamic look, the front air vents located at the back of pop up lights, and not to forget, the small side mirrors.

This car would be perfect for me with the 328 interior, 17'' OEM wheels reproduction and 400 bhp!!!

This is IMVHO another Ferrari who gets much nicer with modern wheels, especially in 18 inches. Congrats for your 348. Gorgeous.

No doubt, The Euro 308 GTB is the purest design of the 308/328 series, color irrelevant.

Do I wish I'd bought one instead of my Amerispec GTS?

Yes and no. I do like the xtra protection afforded by the Fed bumpers, even though they detract from the overall look.

The Euro spoiler is a take or leave for me...doesn't affect appearance that much, and looks very easy to scrape.

IMHO, the carb'd Euro 308 GTB with a small front spoiler in Azzurro Metallizzato. Just like Pininfarina presented it on the Paris Motorshow in 1975... who else, if not the designer, would know what colour looks best.

The 3X8 is one of the ferrari's that look good in a bunch of different colors. Mabe has something to do with the timeless design, that it looks good no matter what color it is. When I was looking for my car, my first color choice was red, something about wanting the traditional Ferrari color. Now I think the dark blue (tour-de-france) is my favorite color, and will be the color of my second Ferrari (550) in a couple of years. For now I will have to be happy just driving the red one.

    Nice.

I like solids better than metallics on the 308, can't really give a good reason than just "eye appeal".

The deep euro spoiler takes it on looks, but even in my Amerispec GTS with shallow spoiler I have to be careful for bumps, potholes, dips, etc.

Can't believe the amount of non original 3x8 that appear in this thread. Come on!!!!!!!!
Maybe I am too much of a purist but first of all it has to be completely original, then I would say a blue/tan gtb
Robbie's is the best one I have seen so far in this thread.

"who else, if not the designer, would know what colour looks best."

Apparently, most of the people in the world who bought these cars decided that the designer did NOT know what color looked best! :)

I vividly remember my first ever encounter with a GT4. It was back in the mid 1980's. A dark blue one was parked in the village I lived in, and I absolutely hated it. I was appalled how someone could call this monstrosity a Ferrari! Absolutely not worthy of the badge, in my view.

    Funny how things change.

Over the years, I never heard of the GT4 again. Of course as a growing up kid I got infected with the stereotypical Magnum PI Ferrari, and when in a windsurfing magazine a nero 308 GTS with makeshift roofrack was pictured, and my then hero Robby Naish was pretending to mount a surfboard on it, I was blown away.

More years passed, and at some time I mysteriously got infected with the Ferrari 400 desease. One day at a classic car trader I was gazing at a 400 and a 365 2+2 when all of a sudden a pretty weird silver with lipstick red interior GT4 caugt my eye. Funny enough, thanks to FChat I've since come to know the owner who put his car up for sale there. And all of a sudden, things clicked. I really started to appreciate the styling.

It took another 2 years and a divorce to clear the way. I now have been the proud owner of a GT4 for 769 days. Would you believe it, in the same dark blue color I detested so much back in the 80's... :D

And it grows on me more every day. To me, the styling is much more refined than that of a GTB/GTS. In comparison, the GTB/GTS is over the top, almost stereotypical, with that huge double swoop of the hip line. Come on, that's how my 6 year old son draws a sports car, and then adds machine guns and a rocket booster! ;) The GT4 on the other hand is held back. And despite what many say, other than the door sills, there isn't a single straight line in sight...

Just compare the air intakes of the GTB/GTS to that one of a GT4. Pure genius of the part of Bertone...

And thus I vote for a dark blue early Euro GT4...
