Those are screaming low prices though..........a shame it's for a 1979, that'd be a catalyst equipped car.......

Getting hard to find my old 1976 -1977 books these days.....

Is there anyway to obtain copies of window stickers through the original dealer or through the factory?

Call them and ask? Dont know what to expect though. I have called Algars twice now asking if they had "any" information on either of my cars. In both cases I was told they would look and get back to me. Nothing. Never heard another word. Maybe it would help if your "knew" someone?

I obtained a window sticker for my former 348 Spider from FNA about 10 years ago. I just e-mailed them and got the sticker mailed to me a few days later for free. I do not know if they are still as customer service oriented though.

A couple years back someone here posted that the warranty card, owner's manual and pouch were on Ebay for BB512 34065 (mine). I contacted the guy and purchased them for an agreed price ($500, which seems cheap now, but wasn't particularly then). I had another pouch and manual, but I wanted the originals, and even then I would have paid more. This shows that threads like this do work to reunited cars and their papers. I really appreciate the people that helped me find the stuff.
Now for the other side of the story. Before purchasing, the guy with the books was very vague about how he happened to have them. I got the sense that it was better not to press, as I might not get them. After he had my money, he came clean. My car was for sale at an exotic car dealership in SoCal several years before I purchased it. This guy looked at it and expressed some interest. He was allowed to take the car out briefly. He stole the books. He basically said that he "borrowed" them to do some research. He didn't buy the car, and he indicated that, since the dealership didn't contact him to get the books, he figured they were his. Ten years later, he hosed me for them. I'm not really complaining, as I am glad to get them back, but this serves to show how it happens. The most shocking thing of all was that the guy really was a "car guy", be worked for an importer as an engineer, I think, the car was the one that has a name that starts with P but looks and drives like a car that starts with VW. This shows exactly how low the whole concept of honesty and integrity have sunk in our society. A car guy with a good job could not see what was wrong with stealing the books and reselling them. I curse him with the worst curse of all- he has to drive a P-car for the rest of his life. Take that, you scum.

Ad, I would really like to re-unite the car with its own documents, PLEASE?????
I bought this car a few years ago, sans documents, but have subsequently bought some documents to support it, including an original owners manual(not correct) for it.
