Finally! The car doesn't look as bad as the BMW or the Honda...but i think we all need to get used to it. I love the front end. Also, notice the Italy flag missing?
It appears to me that Ferrari is using the mirrors as an aero component to direct air into and around the side pods, but the location of the rear view mirrors concerns me. Considering that there are suppose to be a lot more passing on the track this coming season, should cars makes contact and locks wheels briefly, and I have a feeling that there will be A LOT of it with this coming season, there is a good chance that the driver will lose a mirror for the race.
Not too terrible looking, I wonder what it will actually look like at the first GP. It will grow infinitely more beautiful to me the more grands prix it wins.
The front wing treatment is ver interesting. I don't think the front wing regs disallow a wing treatment like last year, so this evolution must have been the product of a lot of work. Instead of adding stuff, it looks like they went back to a simpler design.
Unfortunately you can't and because of that the car looks out of whack. The front is beautiful, and the rear looks like it came from some other animal. It looks to me like someone took a kick arse looking sea-snake and attached it to a tweety bird rear end. We will get used to it but it doesn't look like a proper race car to me...

The shots from overhead are downright sexy!! I wish they would ban the wheel covers though; aside from looking cheap & flimsy; they ruin the cars appearance........ Kevin
Ugh. Perhaps this is their way of trying to divert negative attention away from the California. What's up with those fugly side-view mirrors? The stalks are mounted to the chassis rather than the top of the sidepod?
It was announced fairly recently. Here is a link with more info http://www.business24-7.ae/articles/2009/1/pages/01062009_dfad02900b4e4f0f970901bcfbee87fa.aspx

The car is a lot better looking than I thought it would be. The view from directly overhead is really attractive. I hope all these rule changes finally get back some good old overtaking again.

Reminds me of the 1990 or 1991 Ferrari, the one that Alain Prost drove. Btws, i really hopeto get hi res pics soon. Ferrari mentioned that it won't be the same car for Melbourne. i suppose there will be diff wings by Aussie. Also, notice the sidepods, there's plenty of space beside the Shell logo.
Looks wise, I love it. I know the restriction of aero may be a step backwards, but I couldn't stand all of those ridiculous winglets covering all of the cars. IMO this is one of the better looking cars of the last decade.
I'm wondering if those strange mirror stalks are doubling for winglets ....ermm grey area loop hole..
I disagree, if someone dropped this car off in my driveway for me, I would send it to the crusher! WORST EVA!
Pretty decent looking. I bet those "mirror supports" get banned before the first race. I applaud the end of the viking horns, sails, rabbit ears and other nonsensical appendages tacked all over the car. I wonder if all the cars will have a narrower rear track than front? Can anyone say "oversteer"? The slicks get rid of the ridiculous 2-compound rule, right?
Can you even call that a "sidepod?" I would like to see the Tic Tac sticker make a return... Seriously though, the rear of the car is unbelievably compact. Is cooling no longer a concern? All told, it is much better looking than what I expected!
The car has a clean look to it. Not a big fan of the rear wing, but overall it looks better than the other teams' cars.
