Just curious what other CS owners do with extending where car is really not driven much (as my garage has a few siblings that I am happy to add miles to). CS has 2400 miles and I drive around 200 miles a year. My warranty is about to expire and although only $4k or so to renew (and yes I understand the costs of repairs), curious as to whether you guys are extending for cars that you intend to use minimally. If it helps your decision if you would extend or not, when I do drive it I actually make sure I scare my self sh$tless, thus even though only 200 miles or so a year the car does gets driven to much, but certainly not all of its potential. Thoughts appreciated, thanks.

    200 miles a year? Buy a poster it's a lot cheaper!

I would kill the warranty as your only real expense is just maintenance. Some will argue this and that is just around the corner because you don't drive the car. Whatever. I wouldn't spend the money.

    My thoughts....

don't bother with the warranty. the chances of something of 4k or more that is covered under warranty going out is about nil, and the chances of ferrari actually covering it is even smaller. my strad has 22,000 miles and never had any warranty issues besides an ECU reflash (make sure you have the latest software before your warranty expires). I know many others have not had any major warranty issues. I'm sure there's someone out there that had something go out but in general I think its pretty unlikely. spend the 4k on something else. just my 2 cents

I never made a claim against my Power warranty, my 360 Modena (manual) has been totally trouble free (apart from one duff spark plug). I wouldn't of renewed my warranty even if Ferrari UK would have sent me a reminder! Come to think of it, why didn't they ask if I wanted to renew....good sales call Ferrari, is this the norm?

I'm glad you got an answer about the warranty... now will you please drive your car a bit more? The CS is such a fantastic car, it's a crime to keep it caged up like that.

Thanks, appreciated, on the low miles I have a bunch of cars (4 to be exact) and 2 kids - just tough to find enough time although I do tend to drive the CS less than the others - I agree a fantastic car to drive, especially at speed. thanks again.

Yea, with that kind of use forget it. Just make sure the car is sufficiently warmed up before you cane it.
