Hi Guys ! A bad start to 2009 forces me to part with a treasured possession, the original boxed tool kit for my 1974 GT4 365 2+2 # 18277. As you'll see from the images the kit is in remarkably good condition with only some of the flocking from the inside lid having attached itself to the spanners etc. The box size is approx: 12" x 7.5" x 3" deep and still has the original keys ! The tools are on two trays with everything intact on top tray, ie 7 x Everest spanners: 8 through 21, pliers plus a small double ended hexagonal tubular wrench. Bottom tray consists of 2 x flat screwdrivers, 1 x Philips screwdriver (one missing and the only thing missing that I can tell). 5 x bulbs all good, 5 x fuzes all good, plug spanner and oil filter wrench and a Champion spark plug (used). Thing is I have no real idea what the thing is worth (other than rumours of crazy prices being paid on eBay) so I'm throwing it open to suggestions in the sincere hope that, all honourable folk that you are, you won't try to take advantage in my hour of need ! Compliments of the season to you Aidan and thanks for being such a good sport but tell me, is that 50 US or are we talking Zimbabawe dollars ? Mike
The prices maybe rediculous are not rumored on E-Bay. Those are good for the older Boxers, Daytonas, 365GTC 4's all getting very pricey. At a Concorso to the right person prices will not even be disclosed. The $1500 was a decent E-Bay price, although I haven't followed the prices in the last few months. I keep mine locked up in the safe. Rick
Hi Rick I guess that's where these rumours originate and it's the eBayers who then use them to justify their BIN prices.... Anyway, since my 365 is not, and unlikely ever to be, Concourse material I'm perfectly happy to let the tool-kit go to an enthusiast who will treasure it more than me. BTW. Thanks for the tip about the safe. Mine wasn't locked up before, but it sure is now ! best for 2009... Mike
Hi Tom Thanks again for your kind and generous offer, did you get the PM that I sent you yesterday ? best! Mike
