A Black Maserati QP on S Kipling turning on to 285 tonight.
A couple of Sunday sightings: - black Bentley Arnage on Tennessee plate SHEL-B at Elway's. - red Dodge Viper SRT-10 on Air Force 50th Anniversary plates on Downing, then southbound on I-25. That marks two exotic cars from Tennessee in Colorado in the last week. Hmm... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A very surprising sighting today: just blocks from my house in Crestmoor, a blue-gray Rolls-Royce Phantom on "Respect Life" plates with a Towbin Motorcars (Las Vegas, Nevada) frame. Even though I've seen a total of 46 Phantoms in the last three and a half years, just two of those sightings have come in Denver, and of those two, one was the Ritz-Carlton's car! A very, very interesting Denver sighting. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Red 308 eastbound 285 near Santa Fe. Apropos for the day, GTS top was out (I was westbound, top down in the Triumph). Rock chips be damned, it was in the mid 60s!
Another surprising spot today, although I suppose any spot is surprising on a day when it snows: a white Porsche 911 GT3 [997] parked in general parking at Cherry Creek Mall's parking garage around 8pm. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Judging by how clean it is (I had my chiffon white SC out yesterday and it shows) combined with finding a good parking spot on the end (I like to park the same way if I can), I'd say it was driven there earlier in the day before the snow, or at least before the sand and mag-chlor. In any case, props to the owner for driving it. 911s, even non-AWD, are quite playful in the snow. A GT3 under any circumstance is magnificent.
Did you happen to see if it had snow tires? A white 997GT3 was recently at the dealer getting a fresh set of snow tires installed
I had parked my car and entered the mall around 4:30pm and it wasn't there, so I think there was some snow driving going on, since it snowed on and off from 1pm on. Props to the owner for driving it indeed... Do they make snow tires for that wheel size?!
I know it is breaking the "spotting rules", but saw a 308 GTSi and Rossion Q1(minus engine + drivetrain) inside Sport Wheels in Glewood Springs tonight. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I posted some pictures here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138340810&postcount=12 The Rossion looked much better in fit and finish than an Noble M12 GTO 3R and M400 interior/body panels. They still have some small work to make it comparable to other sports cars though. The style is nicer with a more aggresive look, but not real radical of a change. Can't wait to drive one! Damn, missed out on my 15 minutes of fame AGAIN! Can someone please post that they saw a 1989 Mondial t cabriolet on 36 or 270 today, and make me feel better?
Saw today a snow covered Dodge Viper in Glenwood Springs, a snow covered Cayman with Florida plates on a flatbed in the Glenwood Canyon, and finally a red Ferrari 412 off of W Hampden Ave. and Shoshone St.
Beautiful red Dino filling up at Costco in Thornton/Erie. Would have said hello however the owner was fielding numerous questions from the attendant at the time. Sorry, no pics.
Was the owner a tall, older black guy? If so, that would be Dave Lucy who lives in that area. He's had his Dino seemingly forever. Dave
Yep, that was him. I overheard him telling the attendant that he had owned the car for something like 28 years!
