After going through a hard breakup (in which I am now over) a couple of weeks ago, I thought back it found it interesting where/how we had met. The question here is where did you meet your wife/love of your wife?
She was my payroll specialist. She had to call me every two weeks, so I just wore her down tell she went out with me..
I saw her on the track in Maranallo, the last time I was there, I still see her going down the straight in front of the garages in my mind. No really I picked her up at a Kennel in Stuart Florida.
Met my wife Feb of 2001 at Daytona Beach for Spring Break. We lived in the same city, discovered we went to the same college and on the same bus down to Florida. We got married July of 2005 and are expecting our first child this July. I had actually seen her before the trip at the college, and my subconcious mind must have sought her out, because when she told me of a volunteer first aid group she worked with at the college, it clicked. I saw her. I remember the hair (she has great hair). At first she was kind of creeped out by me mentioning it but then realized it was more of a compliment. I went down for a week of partying and fun and she went down to get away from everyone as she was going through a stressful time with work and a bad roomate. We both got the opposite of what we were looking for! Chris
Blind date in college just over 20 years ago. I had just turned 20, a junior, and she was a freshman that had just turned 18 (barely legal, ha, ha). Now that I'm 40, it means that I've known her for more than half of my life. Married 14 years, with 3 kids and a Ferrari 308GT4.
High School... I didn't have a piano at home, so I practiced in the Band Room during the school lunch hour... she came in one day to pick up something she'd forgotten... and heard me... sat down to listen, and kept coming back...we ended up dating for about 2 years. Fast Forward from 1975 to Christmas, 2001... (yep, 26 years)... met up again, and six months later...married, and she was in Kuwait.... Third time's a charm, they say... hope so... think so... believe so... if not... that's it for me....I'm done...! Mike in Kuwait
Set up by a mutual friend. Went for coffee in April of 1997 and have seen each other every day since then. Married since July 14, 2001 with one beautiful daughter.
Labor Day 2007- a buddy and myself were on jetski's about to take them out of the water; I'm over at the dock, getting ready to get off and take it out - he comes over and says; "These girls want us to come over!" I'm very skeptical knowing this kid (literally, he was barely 21 and very very inexperienced with accurately guaging girls) so I said "Sure, but if it goes bad, and I get the feeling we're REALLY not welcome, then the code is "Bobby is wondering what time we're headed over to the party.." LOL Well, suffice to say the rest is history; but it was funny b/c the girl I fell for was the one HE wanted. She wasn't having any of it. lol Odd how I owe him for that meeting....
same here! I'm young too really commit to a full blown relationship right now (19). Besides, I move about so effin' often I cant see the point really, because most girls I know are still in college/uni and want to finish that first, or they don't want to move far away from their friends/parents. Probably going to America in a couple of years next...
My parents met on a blind date. Well, it wasn't THEIR blind date. You see, when my mom was nursing her first job out of university she was living with 2 other nurses in the small town of Ponoka, Alberta. Yes, its called Ponoka. They even have a Ponoka Stampede. Well one of my roomates was set up on a blind date with the dashing young new dentist in town, who would eventually be my father. When he came to get the roomate my mom answered the door. Date #2 and the following dates picked up at that apartment: my mom! I don't know what year that was but I believe they were married in 1967 my sister was born Dec '68, my brother Jan '72 and me April '75 so they will have been married now 42 years this August! Chris
Strip Club. She was an entertainer... Slight exaggeration I guess. Baylor University, first week of college.
We met on the web 8 years ago, back when internet dating was cutting edge Just had our 3rd wedding anniversary yesterday. We went to a neat new restaurant in Orlando called T-rex... had dinner in the ice cave Image Unavailable, Please Login
Met my current wife and her girlfriend at the back bar of the 9:30 club in Washington DC. They were having a private birthday party and I crashed the party as I was dating the club bartender. It was love at first sight. I made smart a** remark toward the end of the evening telling them that I had not had a three way in at least 2 weeks. They said they could fix that and took me home with them. 20 years later and one 8 year old daughter we are still together. (Her girlfriend did leave 10 years ago). I met my ex wife (the psycho one) at a movie theater. I was watching The Kids Are Allright ( The Who) and she kept kicking the back of my chair. She was 6ft tall blonde and looked liked Christey Brinkley. I should have run far far from that one.
29 years ago in freshman Honors Chemistry class....I swear. She has kept me around because training another guy would be too much work.
