    Very nice car. Asking $875,000.

You almost never get to see these in person.
I'm always amazed in various event pictures how small they are, especially when compared to the modern Ferrari models.

Here are a few more pics from the ad.
I like the "all business" nature of the interior!

Joe, Do you know who the owner is?? Curious why he/she has been non existent in the Ferrari circles of the Mid Atlantic let alone the DE/PA area. I have been active in that circle since 1999 and have never met the owner. With the Advent of Fchat its tough to believe such a significant car could go unnoticed in such a small community. From toggie's observation, it seems the car in question has not been on the east coast for very long.

Maybe we have seen it before. I don't think I got anymore than picture phone pics but remember the F40 that showed up at Cars and Coffee a couple times? Cody I believe his name was? He brought his Ford GT as well once.

I noted that there are three available now in FML I think.

I think they are the bomb!

Too bad I want to go old. But gives me something to think about.

I will split the investment with you. Maybe we can form a consortium of 100 owners? I saw an F50 at a Dallas dealer when they first came out - instant love. Definitely beyond my pay grade reach. Damn. I hate to be teased w/eye candy.

I've always liked the word consortium.

It's a different take on the pay to play outfits. Much more private and specific in this case. It can work.

unfortunately I would need a whole lot more than three others to join the party...that is unless I sell a few things. Wife has put a stop on the rise in money "invested" in cars. fortunetly I got it up to its current level before she noticed!!! Jon in Delaware

ok ok ok....so, I get back in town tonight, look on FChat and now we are buying a F50 and F40??? I need to stay in town more often!!

I'm in if we have 10 guys, but 3 is too few for me at this point. My wife must've spoken to Jon's wife because I am told I am at the "limit". I knew I shouldn't have bought the range rover last week. damn british vehicles!

    Can we find 10 people??

I've got a broken toothpick, a ball of lint and half a orange Gummy bear to contribute towards buying this.... That interior is killer.
BTW I saw one at Reading a couple of years back.... a very w i d e car to car the least.

The one you saw at Reading was Yellow Right? That is my all time favorite of all time favorite cars. F50 in Yellow!! I like that car so much I bought the framed painting of the car made for the Reading concourse program cover for that year and had my picture taken standing next to the car on the show field. I have become familiar with the owner who lives in a Pittsburg suburb and we speak whenever we run into each other at shows. He likes me because I love my Yellow 550 Barchetta. He is probably sick of hearing me say how much I love his car though. Jon in Delaware

OK, we'll settle for just one of the two cars and Joe, you must not have used Jon's tactic. "Oh honey, look what I got for you to drive!"

That technique works ( "hey honey look what I got you to drive everyday") within reason. You cant bring home a F50 and say "hey honey look what I got for you to drive everyday" unless of course the giver is your wife and the receiver is you!!! But thats not likely to happen!!
