Not there, but through the streaming video, i see no sales aside from very few random lots and no-reserves. Common, the market is lower, lets agree and move on. 835k for a gtb/4 is a nice 40 pct off the top. Its not a question of compromising the seller asking price, its more that there are no buyers at the levels that cleared 1 yr ago. Period.
Just for the record, the 4 cam sold in 06 for $750K. Both the seller and new buyer are white pleased with today's sale. I mentioned many times before, I have sold many 4 cams over the past few years nut never had one ever come close to the high numbers others achieved. The crowd has finally started to thin out but the Lusso had sting following and bids. Just sold to a new buyer at $500K / $550K with commisions. Looked like a decent car from What I could see. More later as I can. Bill
Which IMO was the Chandelier. Boxer 89K. Lusso 550K. 4 Cam 835K. 300SL 425K, Grand Sport NS. Not sure what the 4 Cam sold for in 06 has to do with anything. Elads is right. Same car would have sold 6 months ago for 1.25MM at RM Monterey. TDF NS @ 1.8MM. When the hammer drops the bull**** stops.
Another crazy sale with multiple new buyers fighting over a car. 37 Cord went for nearly $500K! The stutz was equaly crazy going for nearly $600K. There is an argument over the Grandsport. The car was sold @ $5M but the under bidder thinks he was the high bidder. Rob is trying to work it out. The Europa had very little interest. Real bidding that I saw myself ended at $550K but called a no sale at $600K. Bill
Look at the latest FML. Look at the 2 Cams, 4 Cams, Lusso's, TDF, for sale. Note the asking prices. Note the prices these models sold for or NS for tonight. Bit of a disconnect.
'65 shelby 289 cobra expected to bring $525k-625k just hammered sold at $425k for anyone interested. Live feed is interesting to watch - unfortunately you can't see the cars on the stage.
so this car was bid to 500k ish.. at RM. Pay attention to the asking price in the link below: http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/457-Ferrari-250%20Europa-3%20litre%20V-12 DISCONNECT! elad
Too many lots... People are starting to loose interest but the medium an no reserve lots are still finding homes. I spoke with a freind of the new owner of our BBi and the Lusso, he feels both cars even with commissions were a great deal. I think the Lusso was a good buy but the BBi Probably seems likes better deal than it real was. 275 GTS comes up in another 4 lots. Cheers, Bill
275 GTS spyder, at 350k sold... no momentum... if gooding comes at the same levels consider the market shut.
The Europa had very little interest. Real bidding that I saw myself ended at $550K but called a no sale at $600K. Starting to get back down in my price range. I would love to have one
275 GTS brought $350K, $385K with commissions. Probably the best deal on a Ferrari tonight. Car was very nice but the red / tan was not a plus I'm the sale price. Bob Smith's name on the restoration, the Factory hard top and tools were major plusses. Still another 35 lots to go! Cheers, Bill
F40 sold @ $430K all in. Car had major accident and huge repair that involved the rear subframe being replaced and many other associated repairs as a result of the accident. I have clients to entertain and am headed out. As usual it was quite the show. Ignoring some of the new records set on medium priced cars, the biggest surprise is the number of new first time buyers jumping in at the new price levels both up and down accros a wide spectrum of different machines. My best to all, always, Bill
