Ernie - I think Adam is trying to say that there is more than one good mechanic in the LA area. :)

Johnjohn - run a search on the Southern California thread - there were a couple great independents mentioned including ferrari.ace as well.

All depends on what you need. There are some EXCELLENT mechanics in the area, several on this board. Sometimes 355 work requires a mech with specialized tools (very expensive specialized tools), sometimes not. Brake job-not rocket science. F1 clutch job-rocket science.

This respond blows, cant shops come on here and try and get work, this is no different than advertising in magazines. I only tried to advertise my company once, and it created a **** storm, i wont make that mistake again.

It would seem that the difference is that to advertise in a magazine, you have to pay for the ad, while some folks want to post ads on here for free. There are some companies that pay for the privilege of putting their name out there. They are called "sponsors." So if you want to play, you have to pay. Seems simple enough to me. And you haven't even subscribed.

Whoa, feel the love here folks......

After using the search function, several names can be found mentioned as recommended quality techs. Some shops seem to generate more action on these boards, mostly due to the higher percentage of their clientel being on here. Doesn't mean the rest are less qualified. Reading the various posts from the pros (who do post here) gives a clue as to their integrity and experience.

I was just trying to say that, in my opinion (and the opinion of many) Eugenio is the best. I'm no way saying that there are not many other good qualified techs in the L.A. area. You can find many testimonies to Eugenio's work on this site by doing a search.

Michael has done all the work on my 328. I have always found him to be honest, and found his work to be nothing short of perfect.
