Totally agree with you Fred, I think the whole event has gone to far. On a humorous note, I was watching the Ball Party a few hours ago and Obama cant dance to slow music. LOL

It will be interesting to see what kind of changes will take place and how quickly they will be made.

I for one am blind to the color of his skin. Where I did feel a bit of indigestion leading up to his election was it appeared to me that people were coming out of the woodwork to vote for him based on race in order to change or make history rather than on his qualifications and record. Although, there isn't much room for the argument based on qualifications and record of other presidents before him after having come off of 8 terrible years under Bush. Every candidate makes promises when they are running and history has shown that many times the objectives are never met.

It just feels as though that the voters were more interested in making history more so than anything else during this election. As we all have done in the past, we will have to support him as we have the others and if everything turns out great then we will all be better off, if they don't, then we'll have another chance with another president 4 years from now.

If his skin were white, would the media still call him black? Probably not . If another candidate was bi-racial had the exact same platform but his skin where white, I don't think he would have gotten the votes. Which makes the issue of voting for him because he is black as one of the most racist thing this country has done. I really don't care if he is purple, just get the country going in the right direction.
