Need pics. Not of the car. I would vote for cavallo_nero's as the best looking 308, hands down. Best color, best options, Euro bumpers, etc. I would remove the shields. But otherwise very nice, rivals the best looking 3x8 ever...
Hi Hans, do you windsurf? You must certainly know Bjorn Dunkerbeck too! Was it in SURF magazine? Effer aka KC-116 !!!
thanks Jon. More info...I have had this car for over 10 years and it has never let me down. Now I have done the TWM throttle body conversion and electromotive computer and ignition. Borgo pistons, euro cams. Since the picture I added the euro fiberglass front bumper, that split rear bumper I made in the garage. 16 inch superperformance wheels, vitaloni California mirrors and the enamel shields. Custom true dual exhaust compliments the engine design along with ducting air from the drivers side scoop. Also cut a QV vent in the front bonnet. Soooo, I am not completely stock. My Euro 308 weighs in at 2670 pounds. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I personally think all 308's are great. Here is a picture of a buckskin interior with black piping. It is from a 308QV. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's an unusually nice color combination. IIRC, this car was sold at Sport Auto in 2005 and I almost bought it.
I love my car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're up there Horse! We'll have to have a run-off between you and Gleggy for 'best engine bay'. Actually my all time favourite 308 is the Grigio Argento one in WA but I don't have a pic...
Yes, last Sunday morning - trouble is he has to redo it all now to get the drool off! I seriously doubt they looked that good when they came out of the factory.
Oh you mean this, I had a spare half hour! Same part of the track at Morgan Park Horsey? MG Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Many more pics are needed though. This is a perfect setup for a peoples choice if any one wants to. My vote, post 56 followed by 66. The earliest are usually the purist vision.
About bloody time to!.... Good turn up on Sunday for breakfast, did you go straight home or have another Cappa, the drive down was as boring as Bat Poo. The three cop cars lurking around didn't help, but that's the way it goes. Sorry if the engine bay upset you to much. Cheers MG
I was never a purist. Don't get me wrong. I love the originality of any car. The way it looked when it was first built or when someone restores one from the dead. I just love doing a few mods here and there. From wheels to changing the sound system to new steering wheel and exhaust system. Things like that. No kidding! My '79 308GTB has the deep chin spoiler but has 328 (non-ABS) wheels. Those are 355 wheels, right?
