    Hi,

Just wanted to say that I've bought a 308, realising a childhood dream! :)

It's a 308 GTB drysump steel euro version of 1978 vintage, s/n 26637. Colours are Blu Sera (Glidden Salchi 106 A 22) with darkblue carpets and tan leather.

The car has all the books and tools (except the flash light) and includes maintainance history from new with about 58.000 recorded kilometers. As far as I have found out I'm the fourth owner.

Technically the car is in very nice shape and the interior is fine too. The paint however is not good but I've made an appointment to have a bare metal respray done. I'd like to go for Azzurro Metallizzato Glidden Salchi 106 A 32. If anyone has a GTB in that colour please don't hesitate to post pictures. I'm curious how it will look!

I've bought the car in Switzerland through a good friend. I haven't seen or driven the car myself until this week! But it has been a great experience (sometimes nailbiting) with a very satisfying result.

I haven't had time yet to take good pictures myself, so I enclose a few made by said friend.

    Best regards, Peter

    Peter,

Your 308 looks immaculate in those dark colors (exterior and carpets, with tan leather seats).

    Congratulations, my friend!

Beautiful GTB, Peter! Drive it in good health.

The emergency lamp and pouch are still available in decent quantity.

Thanks guys! The Ferrari community has been a great help in the buying process. I couldn't have done it without that help!

And F-Chat in general has given me great information, especially this 3x8 section. The Birdman fuseboxes and carpet grabbers have already been ordered! ;)

    Best, Peter

Wow! If it's original Blu Sera you would keep that colour code.
For respray (Azzurro Metallizzato) just pick one of those red 308 cars. :D

    Hi Peter,

as we discussed before, I love Azzurro Metallizzato. But seeing the pictures of your baby in that georgeous Blu Sera makes me think twice... maybe you should keep it in that original colour code. Probably cinquevalvole is right, suggesting to pick one of those many red 308 cars for a respray in a different colour.

Anyway, here is a photo of the 1975 Paris show car in Azzurro Metallizzato. Now it's up to you!

    Regards,
    Robert

Hi Peter, leave your 308GTB the same color. The 308 looks the best in dark colors.

I agree with the others suggesting to keep the Blu Sera color--it compliments that interior and those wheels perfectly--I tend to only like the lighter blue with a creme interior (as I've seen on a couple 355s in person).
