Hello everyone, I have recently purchased my first Ferrari, a 1991 348 TS Black and Tan with 51,000 miles on it. Major was done last June along with front brakes and a list of other things. I have records for a new clutch 10,000 mile ago as well. It was at a dealership in a small town in PA. I called them about two weeks ago and asked for the service records which they faxed to me shortly after. Ferrari of Washington did the service so I gave them a call to get more insight on the car and some tips on how to care for it. They were extremely helpful and made me feel better about purchasing the car. I got a great deal on the car which means its not perfect. The rear glass had an antenna mount drilled into it at one point, which resulted in the glass fracturing, I am looking for a replacement now. The passenger side window does not go down with either the drivers or passengers side window button. The buttons are not lit either so my guess is that the electrical connection in the door or power to the door is disconnected. From what I have read here a good place to start looking is where the wire cross over to the door. I actually have a new door harness in the box that came with the car, but I am not sure if it will be needed. Other than those to issues it needs a paint job at some point. The interior is as good as I have seen during my search. The leather is worn only slightly, but in great condition. The car was not smoked in either which helps. The consol will need a repaint, but it doesn't look to bad right now. Wheels are in excellent shape, shocks feel good too. I am not new to building or restoring cars, been doing it for a long time so I am not really afraid of working on this thing. The price of the parts is a little hard to get use too, but I knew that when I signed on the dotted line. I must say after only enjoying the car for 48 hours that I will never part with it. I have dreamed of the day I was able to purchase such a car, but I really never thought that I would. I have open tracked a few different cars and I have owned a few really nice show quality cars as well, but I have never, ever felt more appreciation for an automobile than when I took that first drive. It is the only car that sounded and performed the way I pictured it in my head. I look forward to being an active forum member and gaining more knowledge about the 348 and the maintenance I am sure is in my future. I have already begun reading the Ferrari 348 Primer and have downloaded the service manual. Thanks to all who posted to the repair threads as well, they are very helpful. Thanks, Mike
