I'm looking for an F430 to buy in the next month. I know Ferrari red is the color of choice, but I'm a shy, unassuming dude.

Wouldn't black be more suitable for me? More stealth-like?

    Show me those black F430s!

Everyone seems to have red but what people seem to want is black. Nice low miles black cars seem to attract more bids. Very popular choice. Are carbon brakes on your wish list?

Go for the silverstone.... Its great looking and subtle at the same time ...Not loud like a red nor outstanding like a black.

(p.s. But as you have narrowed down to the 2 above mentioned colors------> Black)

Understand that black shows everything, especially hairline scratches. I would avoid black as it is such a high maintenance color and shows every blemish. If you want to tone it down, go for a silver tone, but red and yellow really are beautiful colors and fit the car's character very well. Good luck.

+1 for silverstone - very low-key. Grigio Scuro even more so.

All of my cars are black on black. I had a red 348 TB Series Speciale and it was red and it looked great. Recently purchased a yellow 360 and it looks fantastic. I will buy a 430 soon and it will be black on black. Taking care of a black car is not that difficult if you know what your doing.

The 430 does look good in black.

360... not so much. Black hides some of the nice shapes.

Had a red car (awesome), now ready for another color.

Speaking just exterior, of the 430: In order...

    Black
    Red
    Silver Dark (Titanium)
    Bright Silver
White (I know I hate white, but for some reason it DOES look good in white)
    Dark Blue

    Not so fond of:
    Yellow (On this particular car)

My 355 Coupe was Black-Black, as well as my 360 Spider, I think the next F-Car has to be Red, although Black always works for me.

Pano I read your "opinion"...black. Saying it ten times doesn't help.

I just suggest seeing them in person side by side. If you're not into screaming colors, I really think the Grigio is really nice as it glows at night. The black is striking, but maintenance is required. I've seen the blue and it is really nice looking as well. If this is your biggest issue, life is good.

    Hey, Tony. What's up bud?!

Black does not show the lines as well, but it is a subtle display of class. I have never had a red ferrari, because my wife thinks they are flashy. (My son had a red BMW and loved it.)

    I vote Black--have had 2 black Ferraris.

In my humble opinion, I think that the 360 looks better in Red than Black.

The F430 looks great in Black and Red. I saw a Red/tan F430 spider today with a carbon rear grill and it looked fantastic!

Maybe the F430 coupe looks better in Black than Red?

I have a 430 in Red/tan with a carbon black challenge grill. And, I can tell you that not only I but almost anyone who has seen it says its amazing. I'm sure it's the ultimate dream machine fantasy of many.

But, I also really like Gallo yellow, Titanium, and the metallic blue on 430's.

What's important is to buy what YOU like. I liked red/tan and that's what I bought. Simple.

One thing they all come with is an amazing exhaust note whether stock or modified. You can't screw that up no matter what you do.

Red is classic to any Ferrari and appears popular in resale . Black in 430 looks elegant but dust shows within minutes of prestine clean job. If I were you I would give a serious thought to white with dark blue or black interior and appropriate use of carbon and balck or dark rims. I have seen white 430s in person. They look awesome . White is the new Red in 430. Adil.

    WOW!! Beautiful.

DavidJ: I've noticed that some 430s have the Ferrari badge on the side, some don't. Why?
