Ferrari was showing up everywhere this weekend in Michael's Cub Scout Pack. For top popcorn seller, Michael picked an R/C Ferrari F430! And, for the Pinewood Derby, his Ferrari race car came in #1 for the Tigers impressing the Leaders, scouts and parents with its speed and design; it blew away the muscle cars! Of course, the Cub Master knew Michael had a few insider tips and tricks!

Great memories are made in Scouting.. Mom was a den mother, dad always helped me engineer a pinewood derby car worthy of a podium finish.. Since dad was a hot rodder, the car always seemed to resemble a T-bucket or some other Barris/Roth creation..

    Congrats to your son..

I can't wait for mine to get to that stage.

He already shouts "Ferrari!!!" from across the house when he hears the engine crank.

    Bravo!!!

    oh man, the memories!!

When i was like 10 years old I was in cubs and we had a competition called KubKars (pinewood derby between cub troops).
My dad helped me make a Diablo Pinewood car. I ended up taking the championship with the car.
Beat out at least 100 cars in a full day tournament.

I still have it somewhere. I'll try to dig it out and take some pics this week.
