    It's P.I.T.A. to get a Euro car through our smog testing. The bumpers aren't the problem. I believe a Euro 308 could be converted to pass emissions, but it would be expensive.

    In fact I was interested in a Euro QV at Motorcars a while ago and the salesman was honest enough to discourage me from trying to bring it into California.

    Maybe you could partner up with a friend or relative from another (smog friendly) state and get your car's tags there.

    It's not my car but I'm pretty sure it's an '84 QV. They are pretty rare. We only have two Euro 308's in Austin, Texas. One is a GTB and the other is a GTS.

    Here are some pics of my car taken from the iPhone today, its a 1976 308 GTB Vetroresina #19559, was completely restored in 1991 and sat in a collection until I bought it this summer. I still have the original 14" wheels with Michelins, but wanted to take advantage of more modern tire technology. Bought some 17" Compomotives (288GTO style), but the finish was so bad from the manufacturer that I sent them back. Until I find a better wheel, it will sit with these Kinesis K27's. I have yet to install the adjustable shocks/springs in order to lower the car slightly.

    Sorry about the iPhone camera quality (color looks off and pic is grainy), will get better ones done properly!

    My '76 Euro dry sump Vetroresina

    with Intrax Titanium suspension finetuned at Toni's in Maranello, unibolts en HD stabi's, Brembo's, Close ratio, Tubi competition, large bearing waterpump, Spal cooler vents, K&N, silicone hoses, with 224 bhp at the wheels dynotested. Lightweight bonnet, Cobra's custommade

    No airco, no Radio, no speakers, no antenna, no sparewheel, no heater radiators, just all that fun a Vetroresina can offer when added the right parts and removed the 'unnecessary luxury'.

    still, I must admit that I've seen some very very nice more luxury cars on this thread. Compliments !!

    IMO, 17'' are the best for this design, we must not forget how small this car is in real. So nice!

    Yes I have,
    some of them appeared in other treads.
    The wheels are factory and 16" with Dunlop 205x55 and 225x55. (and, yes the rear tires are a bit higher than the common 50 series) It offers me some compensation in rpm's at cruisespeed.

    great looking car... glad you didint go with bigger than 16 wheels which looks out of place imo

    how light did you get to car down to with all the comfort componets removed? ever weighed it?

    what brembo calipers did you use to fit inside the 16inch wheels?

    Alright, since this has degenerated (?) into a favorite 3x8 photo thread, I'll vote for the black Euro 308/328 GTS as the best of the lot. ;)

    I've always thought the 308/328 looked odd with a flat metal roof and the extra windows. But, for track use, I'd probably want the extra safety.
