Speculation is...the "opening" variations were left over castings from the Ultra Hot series and came out first. The "closed" variation is the normal version that is now being produced.

I was talking to my friend's gf yesterday who use to work at Target. She said it's unreal how many people there are out there like us who collect hot wheels. She said there were quite a few regular customers who showed up first thing the morning HW delivery was. Thought that was pretty funny.

Don't feel stupid. It's actually quite confusing. As you can see, Roy clearly points out that in Kansas City it's "Toy R' Us"....but in the rest of the US, it's "Toys R' Us". Very tricky...

 

Just be sure you go to the correct store.

I have 3 within 30 miles of me to choose from. I just haven't had the time to look in the last few weeks.

My schedule has been changed. I actually work Mon.-Fri. again. Then after work I hit the gym for 1.5-2 hours. By then I have to go home and eat then go to bed. My weekends are usually busy as well. I just need to squeeze in the searching when I can I guess. I have also had to cut down on my spending to pay off a credit card and get ready for taxes. I HATE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

 

Now that just adds to the confusion!

 

I pay that for the Enzos when I find them anyways. So I will find and buy as many 430 Challenge cars as I can.

Well, sounds like if you would cut out all that nonsense "working out at the gym" crap you would have an extra 1.5-2 hrs a day to concentrate on HW. Gotta get you priorities straight Todd!

Plus you can outrun all those out-of-shape door warmer HW collectors to the HW isle when the store opens!
