I would put a slight emphasis on the last or third syllable. Scoo-deh-RIA and roll the "R" softly. You are going to have pronounciations vary within the country as we do here.

Is Luca di Montezemolo's pronounciation of "Scuderia" authoritative enough? Take a look at this clip. He talks about the F430 Scuderia and says "Scuderia" at about the 15 second mark.

Ahh, I got to this late - I am of Italian descent (my Grandparents), and I speak some "broken" Italian...but Luca beat me to it!

    scu-de-REE-ah...(roll the "r" slightly) :)

I have heard it consistently pronounced both ways: Skoo-DARE-ee-uh and Skoo-duh-REE-uh. I also once heard that a majority of Italian words that are four syllables or longer have the emphasis on the third syllable. Is this true...? Can anyone confirm this...?

When I was in Hawaii, an argument broke out over whether the correct pronunciation was Ha-Wah-E or Ha-Vah-E. We decided to ask a native Hawaiian. She said it was Ha-Vah-E. We thanked her for the information and she said, "You're Velcome."

A travel book I had said the emphasis is generally on the penultimate syllable. So I think this is correct.
