What do you eat when that sweet tooth begins pulsating in your mouth?

Ever since I've been back from vacation I've had one hell of an appetite for sweets. Something I've never had before. EVER!

I'm looking for something healthier than the ice cream I've been dabbling in.

Share your ideas for everyone. I can't be the only one.

Pretty much fresh fruit is the only thing I can tell you. I have seen it served with non fat cream made from powdered milk and 1 spoon full of sugar on top.

Just about anything else is really not good for you or packed full of chemicals.

    True.

Fruit is good, but I usually eat 2 servings a day. I could do more, but it would really exceed the budget. I may make some banana pudding. It sounds healthy. lol

    Thanks.

I normally partake in dates for dessert when I'm in the desert.

If you're not in the desert & crave some dessert - perhaps some dark chocolate? Rich in all kinds of things that are good for you!

Not worried about ice cream, just don't want to eat it all the time. I use to eat over a gallon weekly my entire junior year in high school. Didn't gain a pound. :D

Thanks for the link, has some great ideas.

You and my mom both. :) She always said, "Enjoy this while you can, it'll catch up to you some day."

I probably shouldn't mention this, but I also poured coke over the top of it too. Twice a day. lol

It probably helps that I'm missing 3 feet of my small intestine.

Though Dark chocolate is good for you, high in anti-oxydants(sp?), there is a ton of calories and saturated fat unfortunately. A little bit everyday is good for you though, but I'm not sure Texas wants a little square of chocolate I think he wants to be full :D. Kind of like wine.

Hey! No fair fixing it! Nobody even called me a pr!ck for being such a grammar wanker either. Sigh... LOL!

Oh, and I still say go with some dark chocolate for dessert. Wish I had some right now!

I like those little Dove dark chocolates. I actually can only eat one. Glad to hear they might be good for me.

Not exactly healthy, but I like these little tiny cupcakes that come three to a pack and only have 100 calories for all three. And sometimes I also eat a spoon of cake frosting. It's so damn sweet it kills the urge for something sweet for a while and doesn't have too many calories.

Or then there's always another approach. Just eat whatever the hell you are really craving and eat a lot of it. It'll make you so sick you won't want it again for ages.

Are you talking about Warm Delights? Like: http://www.heyitsfree.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/mini.jpg (only picture I could find when Googling)

That approach never works, I usually want more :D :D

I found something semi-healty, I put caramel syrup in milk. Tastes really good.
