RM Auctions announced they are selling a 1957 Ferrari 250 TR (Chassis # 0714TR) at this year's Ferrari Leggenda e Passione auction. They expect it to break the all-time auction record set at last year's event.

If you can afford a 10 million dollar car, you can afford to repaint it in one of the other colors it raced in.... :)

I wish we could wager on these potential auction prices! I'd put my money on this coming well under $10 mil. It's certainly a stunningly beautiful machine with the history and provenance to match. But something tells me that Cal Spyder at RM last year was a big outlier. A little "Fantasy Ferrari Auction" might be in order! ; )

i love it in that color and as far as im concerned it is the only livery this car should be in.

I agree. My comment was meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek. I do believe the car was red when first built, however. In spite of the economy, I actually think this car will reach 10 million US...

I love it, however it would need to be repainted red.

This car will NOT sell for less than $10MM. I would not be surprised if it brought closer to $12MM. It's not like you can buy one at any given time. A rare offering of a very special car. There are still a good amount of billionaires left out there who would not even work up a sweat and write a check on the spot for a car like this.

Whatever it sells for, I sure hope the new owner will race it. It's gotta be the meanest looking TR I've ever seen.

Is it how it was originally painted when sold to and raced by Drogo?
