I need to put a price on a couple Abarth's and was wondering if anyone here can help. Car #1 is a Record Monza with a 1000 twin cam. The car is 100% there, but apart for restoration. As you can see in the picture, the wheel arches are slightly flared, no rust anywhere. Car #2 is an Allemano Spider. Complete except for seats, no rust. I can't help with the valuation's, but they are both VERY cool cars! Hope you get them and restore them as I am a BIG fan of your restoration work with Italian vintage cars!
Are you considering selling them or considering buying them? It is impossible to say anything with the information given. The most important single question is, "Is the engine in the Record Monza a twincam head motor or a pushrod motor?" Record Monzas with an original twincam motor are very valuable cars when restored. Allemano Spiders are not considered to be pretty cars by most people and have a very limited market.
A Record Monza with Fiat 850 engine that ran and drove but needed a total cosmetic restoration sold in the low $40,000 range a couple of years ago. There was another Record Monza car that was cosmetically restored but again had a pushrod motor for sale for about $50K about then too. This car looked great but had not been run for a couple of years, it seemed. Cars with the Record Monza body but a pushrod motor were sold and called an 850S. There was a bialbero motor for sale a year or so ago for about $40K, as I recall. You could check with Guy at abarth-gmr.be to see if he still has it or will let you know what it sold for.
