I do not carry a weapon, nor some mismeasure of attitude as granted to me by some rap song or some other man-emo flit of song and musical notes.

I carry nothing, except that which envelops my person as an opaque, numb, drab, and sightless chill of the abyss.

Silence is my scythe, and fade eternity lay in its swath.

All other times, I carry a 10mm G29, .357 mag or a .44 mag. When the shyt really hits the fan, I just send my girlfriend out to ***** at them for a bit...that takes care of the rest.

    ...also, claymores.

    Dave and John.

I know the guy in the photo is (well was) a bad guy. And he's gone to his rightful resting place now.

however, some of the more sensitive among us felt that those photos were well, in bad taste, bordering on racist.

In an effort to avoid further conflict, let's just keep the guns pointed at imaginary targets for now.

Oh and John ,the V1 comment. didn't we JUST talk about that?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Dave, in Dave's defense, there was nothing even remotely racist about his post. Why has this nation become so pussified that even painting a person of color in a deservedly bad light is racist? It's of no consequence that the guy was black. He was a convicted murder that also happened to be black.

So, Dave, can a picture of a black guy in handcuffs be classified as racism?

What about a picture of a white guy in handcuffs, is that racism, too? What about a picture of a dead white murderer with an unloaded gun pointed to a representation of his head as displayed upon a computer screen? Is that not racism, too?

This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but exactly when did this nation lose its balls?

Since when is it that a picture of guy pointing an unloaded gun at a digital representation of a dead murderer is in any way racist?

Balls, people. Grow a pair. All of you.

Ever been to jail? There's a reason why people hang themselves. Just try protecting yourself in a legal manner.

I think my gun disappeared? Did the Feds enact a new law (or something) over night?

    It is a S/W 629, ported with a Pachmayr.

edit: Just read that the Tookie picture offended someone in this thread? Here's the other picture (re) posted, cause Maggie is so purty! :):)

Why the difference? I assume "on duty" means Law Enforcement and I would also assume that most people would rather carry the same gun all of the time, on the job or not, no confusion, no difference in weight, sights, number of rounds etc.

On duty is an H&K .45 and off is a Colt .380. Size and weight is the difference in the guns being carried on and off duty. I can't imagine trying to lug around this .45 off duty. I don't normally carry off duty anyway though. When I was new, I would because I thought it was cool, but now it's a PITA for the most part.

Never! Is the chain not legal? It's always in the back seat area of my 4-Runner, on the floor in plain view. If that is not legal, it won't be there much longer, but I have never thought of the legality of that particular item, as it's in plain view for all to see.

Doesn't matter who, but somebody who'd previously gotten temp-ban for "racist" post got buggy, contacted mudderators.
Post "had" to go for reason cited, otherwise, at least one mudderator would never "hear" the end of it.

    Under that circumstance, the choices are;

    Go back and forth via PM and/or e-mail = (infinity³(infinity²))²º/ad nauseum + migraine² - 1 ball
    Delete post.

I could carry a gun on my seat... doesn't make it legal. When something like this comes up, it's best to call a few local lawyers to make sure you're in the clear but around here, it's illegal to carry home made weapons in your car even if you have them for future self defense.

Now if you have a valid reason to have some sort of item that can be used for a weapon like the strong arm/ leverage bar used to take lug nuts off, or just a tire iron, it will be much easier to explain its presence, you'll also avoid unwanted charges and legal fees defending yourself when your attacker files a claim against you for using your illegal weapon.
